“Splendid atmospheric historic hotel”
A lovely, atmospheric hotel reeking with history. Spotlessly clean and really quiet. Staff were lovely, although front desk times are limited. Perfectly located for downtown and the quayside. Like living in a palace.

“my stay at the Wellesley”
The Wellesley is historic old Wellington, elegant yet very functional. Ideally situated close to Lambton Quay offices , businesses , shops and restaurants. Large comfortable rooms , and excellent meeting spaces

“I was on a bicycling tour. The deep tub was perfect for an Epsom salts bath. The room was quiet and relaxing.”

“Great stay at a great boutique hotel.”
This is a lovely, slightly quirky hotel. We really enjoyed our time here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The location is great for visiting a lot of interesting sites and for restaurants. Definitely recommended.

“Not terrible, but disappointing”
Our room was clean and decent, but staff support was entirely absent and the plumbing was problematic but not disastrous. In a two day stay we never saw a staff member. We entered the hotel several times when there was supposed to be staff on duty. Must have been ghosts.
