So after staying all around the marina we realised we had never stayed here. We had 9 nights. 9 wonderful nights. Within an hour of unpacking we had fallen in love with this little oasis and decided we would return! When booking I read reviews advising to book a pool view. Knowing the location I knew it was worth the extra expense. The hotel is immaculate. Yes a little dated in dark wood furniture but good quality. The rooms are a great size with a small fridge. Ceiling fan and air con. Bathrooms with bath (I love a bath) immaculate. The staff are super helpful. My only problem is with the uneven path leading from the pool to the shower and toilets. The grass between the steps has sunk and you have to make sure you only step on the slabs. (I stumbled and twisted my ankle) I read reviews saying it should be modernised. No. It’s perfect as it is. The pool area is like an oasis. Nibbles are brought around at midday and Prosecco at 4pm. We really needed to relax and recharge our batteries and this hotel was perfect. Can’t wait to return.

Wonderful stay from start to finish, the choice of food on offer from breakfast to evening meal was terrific, the staff are a credit, the only problems we could find was the fridge in the room was not very cold, and a daily charge for safe in the room was unheard off so we used one of the suitcases with the combination lock, that was fine, the pool is wonderful and plenty of sun lounges Don’t try and reserve the lounges, men have to wear long trousers in the restaurant in the evenings I don’t know why but everything else was fantastic

Excellent budget hotel, very deserving of its 4 star rating. Having read a review which mentioned traffic noise, we realised this would have been a room with an external view so we paid the supplement for a pool view, ensuring we would be away from any traffic. Having now been, there is a fairly busy road passing just one elevation of the hotel. Traffic around the remainder is extremely light and we experienced no traffic noise at all. That said, if you choose to not book a pool view room, you may get a room looking out on uninspiring buildings and the road circling the hotel unless you are fortunate enough to get one of the few rooms overlooking the port. Service in all areas of the hotel is excellent and the staff are equally excellent and friendly. Breakfast and dinner can be taken in the hotel dining room or outside overlooking the port. If you choose the bed and breakfast option, you can still pay to have the evening meal at 25€ per head excluding drinks and the superb menu changes daily through the week. It is buffet service and fantastic value. Well done to the chef and his team! Our room and the hotel in general are spotlessly clean. Unlike many hotels, there are more than enough sun-beds to go round and as all of the pool area is in full sun throughout the day, we saw none of the usual morning grab by leaving towels. Evening entertainment which was generally excellent was provided with a different act each night throughout the week in the hotel as well as a separate stage by the port where solo musicians performed. All said, an excellent value holiday.

We have just returned from the Valentin star and had a nice time. Maybe we expected too much due to all the reviews we read before going but in our experience it was an average 4 star hotel. It was exceptionally clean and rooms were a good size with comfortable beds. The pool is also good with ample sun beds. Main meals were very good, desserts were mediocre. We have had better in other similar accomodation. What really let it down for us was their ridiculous rule regarding drinks. Be aware if you purchase a pre dinner drink in the bar you will not be permitted to take it into dinner with you in the restaurant. You have to purchase drinks in the restaurant and have them charged to your room(something we don’t like doing) and it seems with good reason. On checking out one of our party was charged 28 euros for bar bill which was not his. Fortunately he had proof of payment on a bank card and the bill had been signed by somebody else. On reflection we had a nice holiday but would probably not return.
