We have returned from another wonderful week at the Valentin Son Bou. The hotel had only just opened at the beginning of May for the season but to our surprise was 85% full and we believe it continues throughout the summer to have full occupancy. The reason for this popularity is quite clear because so many aspects concerning the hotel are superb. The staff, almost without exception, are friendly and helpful and ensure everything is maintained to the highest of standards. The tone is set by the top management of Sn Rivas, the Director and Javier Villalta, sub-director who are constantly visible and are overseeing even the smallest of matters. The hotel itself and the complete environment are kept spotlessly clean and staff throughout the hotel smile and greet everyone. Food is varied and very well presented with the food containers being continually renewed and again the maitre d’ Ramon is constantly checking that everything is in order and surprisingly the breakfast time toaster actually works! Yes, some of the rooms are somewhat dated, especially the bathrooms, but all services are there and are daily well maintained. Reception staff, especially Rosas, are helpful and our request for a specific room was met and within 5 minutes from phoning, two blankets were brought up to our room. The life guard, in our experience from many hotels, is most unusual in that he is actually alert and moves around the pool talking and checking with guests. (We have seen many hotel life guards simply sit for hours on end “playing”on their mobile phones.) The shuttle bus to Son Bou itself and the beach and return is necessary but is amazing in that it leaves on the dot every half hour throughout the day, with a 3 hour “lunch time” break. “Lovely holiday. Quiet hotel, very professionally run.”

Excellent service. Staff extremely attentive, with nothing too much trouble. Food very good and plentiful. Cleanliness of site excellent. Excellent service. Staff extremely attentive, with nothing too much trouble. Food very good and plentiful. Cleanliness of site excellent. Rooms dated and would benefit from a refurb, but in saying that, I must say, it was well kept. Would have appreciated a hairdressers and perhaps a manicure and pedicure, with perhaps a shop on site. Bus service to and from local town excellent. I would visit again.

“Nice place”

First visit to Menorca and wanted a relaxing holiday where I could chill out. The rooms do need up dating but are clean and sufficient for a week’s stay. First visit to Menorca and wanted a relaxing holiday where I could chill out. The rooms do need up dating but are clean and sufficient for a week’s stay. The restaurant offers something for everybody and love the gluten free area in the morning but would like more of a choice in cakes and pastries. If you have children it’s a great place and went in May thinking there wouldn’t be many but there was but that’s not the hotels fault. Another downside is the daytime activities, one review made me laugh about it being like a holiday camp. I must admit they could tone down the day activities as coming round and asking you 4 times a day to participate does get very tiring. The staff are lovely at the bar and restaurant and always cleaning and provide good service.

I visited Valentin Son Bou mid May 2024 with my 14 year old daughter. Exceptional service from the entire establishment. We have rather extreme dietary requirements and the hotel were incredible in accommodating went above and beyond to assist. We missed our return airport transfer and in no time at all the reception had a taxi booked and waiting for us. The rooms are a little dated but the service, cleanliness, fabulous pool and general setting, which allowed me to get out hiking along the coast and through the rocky mountainous areas whilst my daughter enjoyed the peace and sunshine of the pool area and village shops, all made up for it. I enjoyed walking to and from the village area and beach but there are frequent beach shuttle buses - extremely efficient. We cannot wait to visit again!
