“Relaxing week away.”

The weather put a real 'dampner' on our week at this lovely traditional hotel. We saw maybe 4-5 hours of blue sky and sunshine all week.. However, that didnt stop us getting out and about to Rhonda, Fuengirola, and lots of walking around the town and up the mountains at the back of the hotel. We also experienced the traditional Easter parades which were specatacular. Its a traditional Spanish hotel and the staff are great, its very clean, and peaceful, comfy beds, pleanty of choice at breakfast time, so all we expected from reading reviews. However, I have to mark it down on several fronts.The thin walls between rooms (its not always an issue but unfortunately some people have no awareness and can be noisy at times). The long queues at breakfast for the one and only coffee machine (if you want freshly ground) Another machine would solve this. Dont be put off though, it really is a great place to stay and relax.

“Traditional hotel in a great location”

Nice old Spanish hotel, nice staff and close to the Pueblo. Rooms were basic but clean and had everything I needed. Pool area was pleasant and plenty of sun beds. Staff were very helpful when we had a query and always seemed helpful and friendly

At first the service was excellent. We requested a food change which was effected immediately. Restaurant staff and bar staff great all the way through our stay. At first the service was excellent. We requested a food change which was effected immediately. Restaurant staff and bar staff great all the way through our stay. We stayed for 28 days and went to book the 2 hour extension on the last day for 10 euros as offered on a card in the room. When my wife asked she was told there was no point in checking as they were full so it was not possible. This was abrupt and downright rude. We spent over 3000 euros for this stay and in spite of the fact that everything else was good, to refuse to even consider our request means that next year we will stay for a month anywhere but the TRHMijas Hotel. Finally, we tipped the maids , restaurant and bar staff, but my wife insisted that the final 10 euros for reception go back in my pocket. So, not all bad news!!!!!
