We had another wonderful stay the end of April at this lovely hotel. This was our third year staying at this hotel and again there was nothing we could fault. The staff are lovely and so helpful, we ate in hotel restaurant every night and all enjoyed our meals. The food served at the pool was also really good plentiful and good value for money. The entertainment by the pool was well organised and really good fun. We also watched some of the evening entertainment and the acts we saw really enjoyed in particular Elvis and the group who played by the pool. This hotel will always be our first choice when we are in Tenerife and already our group has booked up for next year!

This is a lovely hotel - a top 4 star in every way. We (my wife and I) stayed a week in early May 2024. We had a great time. We have stayed many times before in Tenerife staying at different hotels. Our welcome to the hotel - great start to a lovely stay! Friendly, smiling reception staff. Small bubbly to start the holiday at reception and provided all the essential details. Reception is bright, airy, air conditioned and has a nice perfumed smell. Lots of kissing behind reception! (Scenes from black and white movies!) Pushing the Lovers and Friends theme of the hotel. You really get the feeling you’re not checking into a standard hotel. Something different awaits you! We paid for use of the safe - 2.50 euros per night and paid the 40 euros (2 x towels) deposit (refundable on check out). Reception staff are quick and efficient. Our room - We had booked a Deluxe Pool View room and had emailed requesting a high, sunny floor. We got it, Room 544 which is on the top floor of this hotel and overlooks the hotel from a central position providing great views from its spacious balcony. The balcony has two red chairs and a table. New and comfy. All the pool facing rooms have good views. The hotel is a U shape. In May, the rooms to the left of the hotel have shade in the morning (including us) and have sun in the afternoon only. It won’t matter in the summer months as it will be so hot so if you would like sun first thing, its worth asking for a morning sun room. The room itself is very comfortable, good air conditioning, large, comfortable double bed, equipped with comfy pillows, plenty wardrobe space with plenty hangers, extra pillows and blanket if required, two comfortable chairs, mini fridge, electric kettle and cups and spoons provided, side cabinets, and a large circular mirror. We also appreciated the newly upgraded bathroom which consisted of walk in power shower which also included a rain shower and the usual amenities with a modern powerful hairdryer. Nice to see there were different dispensers for soap, shower gel and shampoo. I’ve been to hotels in Tenerife (well known brands but I’m not going to mention their name - but think Benidorm) where they gave us the same so called wash for hand soap, shower gel and shampoo! Lol. Not here though at Tigotan. No complaints here. Hint: From the top floor rooms near 544, you are under Cafe Del Mar and can enjoy their music! Its not loud to disturb you but nice to hear from the balcony. Big mention to the cleaning ladies who looked after our room - the room was immaculate every day when we got back after a busy day out. So appreciated. Food - Excellent. Lots of varied choice - I don’t know why some people complain. My wife and I appreciated the live cooking, friendly chefs and staff. The plates were always hot. We never made it to Breakfast but had the evening meal a few times. Hot food was fresh and replaced quickly. There was an excellent choice of salads, cheeses and accompaniments. I also loved the desserts. Its a good buffet experience. The main meats change daily and theres a good choice of other food to add. The pool bar also provides good quality from lunch time. The portion sizes are quite big and the food is cooked/prepared fresh and is of good quality. Pool & Sunbeds, Pool Bar. We always managed to get sunbeds whatever time of day. My wife and I usually made it to the pool around lunchtime after going out for lovely morning walks after breakfast. Yes, the best spots get taken early and there is the Pool attendant who we saw monitoring beds that had been left for a period of time. But there are lots of good spots for sun loungers around the grounds. My wife and I found our favourite ones to be more near to the pool bar and also near the palm tree we thought looked more like a Christmas tree :) ! The staff at the pool bar were always polite and helpful. There are no long waits for service. Drinks are very reasonably priced for a hotel and they pour the drinks in front of you. All the drinks staff were friendly. All the main branded drinks were on offer. Entertainment - Daytime entertainment was good - pool side games, aqua aerobics, pool bingo and more. The entertainment team are really good and work hard throughout the day - they get to know guests quickly and enjoy what they do. There is other varied entertainment such as DJ sessions, sax players etc who come at certain times to provide something different which was quite good. That lady who shows off and sells swimwear also visits the hotel. I thought the evening entertainment was ok. One major highlight is Cafe del Mar with their chilled out bar, great seating and sunset views. Its a special place in the hotel. Really reminded me of the chilled vibe in Ibiza. We went out most nights as we know this part of Tenerife and there is so much nearby, Soul Suite, Gaelic Corner, Harrys Bar just to name a few. Every place is just a short stroll away. We recommend the Tigotan Lovers and Friends hotel. We would happily return in the future.

We are half way through 5 days here and already planning a return later in the year. Staff are pleasant entertainment is great and the animation team work hard to ensure you have amazing time. The food is really good plenty of choice and the drinks are reasonable priced. Housekeeping do an amazing job place is spotless. This is our first visit to this resort won’t be our last it’s welcoming and not to expensive. We upgraded to pool view definitely worth the money. Great little fridge bring your own tea and coffee. Loved the walk in shower just don’t put it in full power or risk flooding the bathroom 😂

“Our Tenerife stay”

We have visited this hotel twice now, the hotel and rooms are clean & spacious. The buffet is a little repetitive but I think most hotels are like this. The themed nights for food are always fun & we love the foam parties in the day by the pool! And the activities which are on offer are great fun!
