An outstanding visit. Even though this was pre-season, the hotel was brilliantly geared to the needs of its guests. The staff are kind, efficient and highly attentive. The hotel is beautifully looked after and sits in a charming location with plenty of greenery. The food was excellent and thoughtfully presented. This whole experience cannot be recommended highly enough.

“Lovely week at this hotel”

“Decent adults only hotel”

Nice enough hotel with spacious rooms and good pool area, and the added bonus of being adult only. There were a few things, however, which were missing, considering this is a 4 star hotel. Nice enough hotel with spacious rooms and good pool area, and the added bonus of being adult only. There were a few things, however, which were missing, considering this is a 4 star hotel. Whilst there was a kettle in the room there was no tea or coffee...bizarre! There was a good choice at breakfast but coffee disappointing. Nowhere to refill a water bottle which I would have thought would be a given in this environmentally conscious day and age and where the tap water is not for drinking. The gentleman on reception was pleasant enough but seemed constantly stressed. Seemed he was there on his own most of the time so probably unsurprising. Cleaning was a bit hit and miss, with attention to detail missed on occasion. Just a few tweaks would give this hotel the full 5 stars and I would still consider returning if in the area again.

First impressions on arrival at the hotel were ok. The guy that checked us in was lovely and welcoming. We booked a room in the main building but we were given one in house number 2 overlooking a street which turned out to be very noisy because of the bus station. It was so loud that we had to keep the balcony door closed during the night. There was no bathroom door and if you wanted privacy using the toilet you had to send the other person outside. I was constantly looking for places to hang the used towels and ended up using shower doors. In my opinion that would be such an easy thing to be fixed. The daily cleaning turned out to be not much of cleaning rather just emptying the bins and wiping the sink. No beds were made and no floors were swept. For a 4 star sup. Hotel I was expecting a bit more. I am really still surprised by the huge amount of positive reviews. if you are used to a certain standard this is definitely not the place to stay as you will be disappointed. We really enjoyed the fact that breakfast was served till 11am which gave us the chance to sleep in and also get a workout in before having a late breakfast. The quality and variety of food was absolutely ok, only negative was that they were having no butter only margarine. I asked and they said they were waiting for a delivery for a few days. If I was in charge I would have gone to the shops and just get the butter. Again a problem that could have been fixed quite easily. The server in the restaurant were really quick to take away dirty plates and always seemed very friendly with a smile on their faces. The Spa turned out to be just a facility were you could book massages. There was no sauna or steam room. The gym looked well equipped and clean. The sun roof bar/restaurant was closed. All in all we would not stay here again.
