“Above and beyond”

Spent a week here from 12-19th April and it was a truly fantastic holiday. I'd like to start off with the staff, they were the best we've encountered, and the wife and I are experienced travellers. It was my mother's birthday whilst there and they went the extra mile, her room was decorated, she received not 1, but 2 birthday cakes and on our meal at The Nasaya restaurant the table was decorated and the staff sang happy birthday to her, all brought a tear to her eye. The staff were always friendly, polite and so hard working. I had a nose bleed one day from trying to get my ears to pop, in a flash I had 2 members of staff bringing me paper towels and one even went to the effort to bring me some ice in a packet to help stop the bleed, he even asked the following day if I was OK. A few members I'd like to mention are the following:- Nasaya/snack bar- Eslam, Shebang and Abdallah Pool bar- Tarek, Elnager, Ahmed Main Restaurant- Nada and Mina Animation team- Claudia, Budda, Bob and Marcello. The hotel itself was spotless, the cleaners and grounds team work effortlessly and do a fantastic job. Ive seen some comments about It looking dated, it could do with a lick of paint here and there, but it is a working hotel, definitely nothing worth noting or putting anyone off visiting. The rooms are a good size and the view was beautiful, we stayed in room 633. We would go down to the sunbeds on the beach at around 7:30am and could easily get some, some people would go down at 5am to reserve the better sunbeds which is annoying, especially when they then don't turn up for several hours, but we did see the lifeguard move people's stuff a couple of times which was good to see. Can't speak for around the pool as we only spent one day there, the beach with the lagoon was just too good to not be there, be sure to take a snorkel mask, the fish youll see are beautifuland we even got toa swim with a turtle the one day, all purely amazing. The food was always good, plenty of choice, but its subjective I suppose, the snack bar down on the beach was good, good pizza, burgers and chicken kebabs. The entertainment on the evenings was hit and miss, the singers weren't very good, however the light show and acrobats were very good. The animation team were very good, so happy and friendly and not pushy if you didn't want to get involved. The only negative for me were the shops onsite, they are operated independently from the hotel and they will try and rip you off, there are no prices on anything but an example of this is we bought some pegs to hold our beach towels down, we were charged £2, however the next day we went to buy some more and he tried to charge me £3, only when I mentioned it did he say £2 is ok. The day went left some prices did appear in the windows, but it is expensive, £4 for some pringles!!! We found going to the shops outside the hotel much better, only a 10 minute stroll out of the hotel and there are plenty of shops, very safe to venture out and not pestered at all, a can of red bull for example was £35 Egyptian pounds, roughly 65p. There are a couple of shops opposite the hotel, the pharmacy wanted to charge £18 for some cough syrup, lozenges and some tissues, however we found a pharmacy on our 10 min stroll we were charged £6. The Aldi T-Shirt opposite the hotel does some good genuine fakes although be prepared to barter on the price. We didn't go on any trips with Tui, we got a taxi to the Senzo mall, I wouldn't recommend it, small and expensive, don't waste your time. We did go on a speedboat trip with a company called Sphinx tours, look them up, absolutely brilliant and couldn't recommend them enough. In summary, I'd happily recommend visiting here and I'm positive you'd have an amazing stay, safe to say I think we'll be back again.

This was our 14 th visit here and as usual the hotel and room was spotless staff work so hard to make you feel at home and provide excellent service.The animation team Taz and his crew were the best team we had seen for many years with all the different age groups in the hotel they provided entertainment for everyone and were very chatty and friendly it made our holiday thanks guys 👍 the bar staff are an amazing group of guys and work such long hours and have a fantastic memory remembering what you drink big 👍 to you all . The only complaint we have was the food it’s ok if you are a big fish eater and like bones and gristle in chicken we found bones in the chicken soup and the chicken pie which put us off big time breakfast and lunch was fine so we ate out most nights after the findings of the bones all in all still a great hotel 👍
