“9 day sunshine break”

This was not our first visit here and certainly wont be the last! We stopped in the My Favourite Club section (as usual) we even now have a preferred suite - 6102. We were welcomed with a bottle of rose cava and a bottle of red wine, plus a stocked mini bar (water, soft drinks and beer). The water and coffee pods are replenished, the rest can be refilled for a few euro from the Hyper Dino just outside the hotel. Our suite was spacious and spotless (thanks to Jhennifer our housekeeper who kept everything perfect). The beds are very comfortable and the area is so very quiet at night. (There is some music from the Sunset Lounge over the road, but this does not go on beyond 10pm) The food is very good with a wide choice for breakfast in the My Favourite Club lounge, for lunch we preferred the Kentia restaurant (Albondigas on our first day – yay!) for their range of salads and hot dishes. We ‘saw’ the food in the My Favourite Club Restaurant (evening) and have to say it did look very good, but we like to go out in the evenings and try local places, with so many new places to try this time (Single Fin Burgers, Waterfall and a great new Mexican taco place to mention just 3) we were out every night. Will give it a try out next time! I have seen many comments about the new token system for drinks, but we did not find this to be a problem. It only applies to the plastic cups around the pools and when you have finished your drink, you can either exchange the cup for another drink or for a token ready for the next day or later. I did notice the pool areas look much tidier for not having piles of plastic cups on the tables (but also note that there have ALWAYS special bins for you to put the plastic cups in when you have finished with them, but these were largely ignored.) Bar service is very good, and we were very pleased to find the My Favourite Club Evening Bar open again. (Upstairs from the My Favourite Club Restaurant) It was previously our favourite bar and quickly became so again! Plenty of room, and the seats and tables on the balcony are particularly nice. We also liked very much the lobby bar and in particular Diego, always smiling and laughing. He can also give good local advice about eating out. We found all of the staff, from the Reception and Check in teams, housekeeping staff, waiters and chefs, even the gardeners and maintenance staff and security, to be polite and cheerful and ready to assist with anything. “Pleasant stay”

Stayed in my favourite club section of hotel. Had great spacious room overlooking pool. Room came with robes & slippers, stocked fridge and welcome wine. Dressing room space was very useful overall our room met 4 star rating. Adult pool area was nice, beds were comfortable but reserved early. Some of the decking was broken but overall impression was pleasant just about 4 star rating in my opinion. Unlike some we found the token system efficient and prevented glasses being left on tables hence we always found a clean area when beds were available. Adult areas throughout the hotel were nice. Other restaurants were also pleasant and matched other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. The remaining of the hotel we found to be a 3 star rating including the food. You will obviously find something to eat, however the selection and standards are not there. Given what we payed to stay at Alua Suites I cannot complain about this hotel on any level. The sandy beach by Corralejo town is nice and beaches within the Nation Park spectacular and well worth the walk along the whole stretch of coastline. You can find some nice restaurants close by and in town. The hotel is a good base to explore the island.

“Great stay!”

We had a great holiday at Alua Suites! The food was lovely and the staff were always very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable. We would definitely recommend and stay here again! Thankyou Alua Suites :)

Got to hotel about 9 pm booked in fairly quickly the room was lovely up some steps and a lovely view of the my favourite pool . The food in the my favourite lounge is only basic very cold and really wouldn’t recommend paying extra because it’s quite a walk to the normal restaurant and i thought you got better food etc paying extra but no soggy sandwiches and chips if you lucky and cold stew unless you go to the normal restaurant . You can go to the al a court restaurant across from the normal restaurant but it’s a set menu in spanish i had a nice soup one night and beef stragonoff wasn’t too bad we went again and couldn’t eat it but maybe just us i definitely wouldn’t pay the extra for the mfc i really don’t see what you get . We never got the tea bags or milks refresher at all even though we asked several times had to buy some in the end a lot of the food was cold but there was some nice salad and sometimes if you caught it right you got a bit of hot stuff . It was nice and quiet in the mfc pool but don’t leave your towel long . it’s a nice clean hotel but i don’t think i’d come back to be honest though we had a nice time overall i don’t like to be a karen but im just saying how i found it x
