This hotel is wonderful! The pool is great with lots of sun loungers, it’s great for children and toddlers as it’s so big you don’t have to worry about them getting in other people’s way! The entertainment during the day and the evening was fantastic, not just for children. This hotel is so kid friendly, my daughter loved seeing the Yeti everyday. Yes the hotel rooms are slightly dated, but they are clean and have everything you need unless you are set on having a kettle in your room, we were so keen to get up and ready for breakfast that this didn’t bother us. It’s in a brilliant location and has everything you need on your door step. Son Bou is a hidden gem!

Not the best experience ever. So I'll keep it to bullet point starting with positive and then negative. I'm afraid negative outweigh positive :- POSITIVE:- 1 / Hotel has a great location right on the beach. 2/ We had a super view of the beach and sea. NEGATIVE:- 1 / Restaurant is ALWAYS BUSY. ... more

Not the best experience ever. So I'll keep it to bullet point starting with positive and then negative. I'm afraid negative outweigh positive :- POSITIVE:- 1 / Hotel has a great location right on the beach. 2/ We had a super view of the beach and sea. NEGATIVE:- 1 / Restaurant is ALWAYS BUSY. Be prepared for a bun fight and musical chairs to find a table. Not a nice experience at all. 2 / Food variety is odd. No potato at night except chips, chips chips. No vegetables and no carvery meat just overcooked pork and lamb chops. 3 / Food runs out frequently and is not very quickly replaced. 4 / Food is rarely hot. Usually tepid ar best. 5 / Snack bar food is cold and left open for flies to feast. 6 / TV in rooms have 2 English channels and the connection breaks down all the time. 7 / Rooms are clean but very dated and in need of some serious TLC. Beds are very uncomfortable. 8 / ALL drinks are served in plastic beakers. Why nice glasses cannot be used at night is a mystery. 9 / Tokens have to be presented to get a beaker of drink. Very odd and vert silly . I could go on but cant continue with the negative points. We would not recomend to anyone. Pay for 3 star and don't expect too much.

Negatives are Uninspiring hot (which was usually cold) food. No real sense to how the buffet areas were set out. Seem to have to walk round and round to access what you were looking for eg, there are 2 dining areas. Hot drinks machines in both but no milk available for tea and coffee in the upper... more

Negatives are Uninspiring hot (which was usually cold) food. No real sense to how the buffet areas were set out. Seem to have to walk round and round to access what you were looking for eg, there are 2 dining areas. Hot drinks machines in both but no milk available for tea and coffee in the upper section ,which was much larger, where we liked to sit, which meant you're walking through very busy areas carrying hot drinks. No dessert spoons out to eat cereal so had to use teaspoons. Breakfast didn't start till 8.30 and dinner 7.30. Both too late for some age groups, including me. It resulted in chaotic mealtimes. Some staff were a little surly, one taking my breakfast plate away while I went back to get a cup of tea , had to go back in the toast queue! My husband doesn't eat breakfast and I only have cereal and toast so I felt entitled to make up some sandwiches for our lunch on the beach. Just a bit of cheese, ham etc but was getting vibes I was committing a crime from staff ! Plenty of others were doing the same. In relation to previous comments about the buffet, yes it was strange to see beans, carrots and broccoli !! out for breakfast but I suppose they try and cater fir different cultures We ended up eating out at night most of the time which added to the cost of our holiday. Positives are Although the rooms are small, the sea views are fab. Hotel and rooms, although a little tired and in need of updating, are spotlessly clean/ very comfy beds and pillows/ great location/nice town . I would go back to this hotel but bed and breakfast next time for us. We like the beach but if you like the poolside it's very spacious and a separate pool for a swimmers. Large pool great for kids.
