Superb Family Break” Just come back from a great week at Sol Lanzarote. We upgraded for a Sea View and this was well worth it as the views were stunning! Lovely food each day and the beers/wine/cava were excellent, the plastic cup system is good as saves a lot of wastage and cups hanging around.... more

Superb Family Break” Just come back from a great week at Sol Lanzarote. We upgraded for a Sea View and this was well worth it as the views were stunning! Lovely food each day and the beers/wine/cava were excellent, the plastic cup system is good as saves a lot of wastage and cups hanging around. Entertainment staff in particular worked so hard in the pool and at the kids disco, well done 👍 Thanks for a great stay.

Currently on last day of 5 day trip to Sol Lanzarote. Came here with my 18 year old son for a birthday celebration. Emailed the hotel prior to arrival to ask for decorations in the room , maybe bottle of cava or some chocolates wasn’t asking for much . They confirmed this would be arranged , sadly request was ignored . Perfect location such a short trip from airport , reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Arrived at 9pm hotel was buzzing great atmosphere and so happy to find dinner is served till 10pm. Food Food was ok … can be repetitive we opted to eat out as there are plenty of restaurants to the left and right of the hotel from the beach entrance by pool . Felt the salads were bit boring , plenty of fresh fish king prawns mussels etc. Breakfast was probably my favourite full English , continental lots of fruit and cheeses with warm bread . Pool bar has burgers chips fruit nachos pizza . Sometimes this was stone cold . Drinks For me this was the biggest let down Pre made cocktails in slush machine they make for you . Not my cup of tea and I love my alcohol. Wine and sangria on tap was okay . Fizzy drinks on tap Coke Zero , lemon Fanta etc but few times went to machines and they wasn’t working . The plastic beaker thing I get but I prefer drinks in a glass personally but wasn’t such a big deal stops glasses being left everywhere. Location is perfect .

Just returned from a 6 night stay at this hotel, I’ll start with the positives. Location was amazing, super close to the airport, right on the beach and amazing views from our lovely and clean sea view room. I’m a bit perplexed by the bad reviews about the food, there was a ton of variety in my opinion and yeah of course it can get a little repetitive, but it’s an all inclusive buffet restaurant so not sure what else is expected. Food was nice enough and lots of choice. I liked the drinks too a lot, but I know others have felt they’re not so great. The maids, waiters and people who worked in the restaurant were absolutely fantastic. Their service was always impeccable and they were always super friendly, special shout out to Curro and Mamy who always went above and beyond and are both outstanding members of your team, I hope they get the recognition they deserve. Negatives, customer service isn’t exactly the strong point for some of the team members. Reception staff always seemed like it was a bother if you asked them anything, on one occasion a member of the reception team didn’t look at me once when I was talking to them and carried on looking at their computer while vaguely answering me, not sure what that was all about as I always go out of my way to be respectful, polite and friendly to all staff and don’t feel such cold customer service is necessary, it makes you feel like a hinderance rather than a valued guest. Some of the evening bar staff have a bit of a chip on their shoulder at times too, it seems maybe they are overworked and there aren’t enough staff for the amount of guests in the hotel which perhaps lead to grumpy staff members and grumpy/short service. Unsure if the hotel is affiliated with the supermarket/grocery store directly next to it, but the lady with the short hair who works there is SO rude. I’ve never received such bad customer service from anyone in my life, she actually rolled her eyes and sighed/tutted at me multiple times just because I wanted to buy an inflatable from the shop which was tied up outside and she had to come out and untie it for us… I didn’t realise wanting to buy something from a shop was such an insult but I may as well have asked her if I can take everything in the shop for free considering her reaction. We opted for the beach rather than the pool most days because there are never ever any free loungers, people go and reserve them with their towels early in the morning and they are all stacked closely next to each other like sardines. The adult pools also aren’t heated and it’s not a very pleasant experience getting in. Overall, I enjoyed our stay mostly but I feel some things could be improved such as customer service from some of the team and the pool situation, music is also on loop everyday they play the same songs in the same order which gets repetitive and tiresome. I also feel it’s perhaps a hotel more aimed at families with small children rather than adults or families with older children. Some really amazing points for this hotel, but some things let it down. Make your own mind up, we enjoyed our stay but probably would opt for a different resort next time visiting Lanzarote. While the hotel is listed as a 4 star resort, I think it’s more a high 3 star in my opinion.

We came to this hotel during the Easter half term. The location of this hotel is excellent, 15mins away from the airport and right on the beach. This meant you could spend the day at the beach and pop back for your drinks and food. Talking about food…. It wasn’t great unfortunately. We would get to the restaurant for the opening times and we found the food to be cold, not luke warm… cold. There was your usual pizza, pasta, chips etc but even the kids food wasn’t that great. It’s such a shame as it looked delicious and we firmly believe if it was hot, it would have been delicious. The restaurant gets extremely loud aswell which I suppose is to be expected. Help yourself drinks available from a few stations within the restaurant. The sangria was lovely!! Now onto the snack bar….. To me, the location of this seemed odd as it’s at the end of the resort where there is a perfectly good ‘hut’ located by the middle pool that wasn’t used? This meant any time you wanted to get a different drink you had to go all the way to the snack bar just to change your cup. The drinks at the snack bar were great - cocktails were lovely…. Just ask for extra alcoholic. Whilst I understand the want for the hotel to be sustainable, the whole tokens system was a bit baffling, when we handed back our tokens when we left we were not asked for our hotel number (so in effect could have taken the cups home), but they charge you €1 to replace your cup if you lose it or your token. There were always plenty of cups around so it just seems to me it was to make money. Talking about “sustainability”… I completely get it and commend the hotel for trying. But to point blank refuse to put the air conditioning on when the temperatures are reaching very high 20’s is unacceptable. The rooms are stuffy which made sleeping (or lack of) very uncomfortable. We were given one fan, which did absolutely nothing and even that was very noisy so you couldn’t leave it on. The staff here are absolutely amazing, everyone. The maids, reception, bar staff, animation team - all excellent. There seems to be three seperate animation teams but they all do the same thing? It’s a bit odd. Over all, we unfortunately wouldn’t return based on the food.
