This was our third visit to the Sol. Yet again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is ran very professionally, it's very clean and bright, fabulous rooms, lots of space and facilities. We loved the food and drink choices for all inclusive, restaurant always presentable the staff work so hard. Snack bar was always fully stocked every day and it changed its menus twice daily. Day time and evening entertainment always great. Beach directly accross a small road, just perfect . Spectacular views from all rooms . Disabled access throughout the hotel inside and out was great. Great on site shops ,small supermarket and gift shop was perfect. Animation team always great fun, but we missed our favourite life guard John Peter, he always made our holiday so much fun at the pool side. we shall return with more family members in November , thankyou for another great stay at the Sol... please bring back your old life guard, our children love him .

Sol Matagorda In my humble opinion , the Sol is fine, not perfect but good ,all the plus points are repeated in the other reviews….location, cleanliness etc.etc Please bear in mind that some people aren’t happy that they’ve had to pay money for a holiday…. Yes, this year the Sunbed Towel Zombies can be seen from first light but there are enough sun loungers to suffice. But, do not expect Roast Beef gravy and veg. you’re in Lanzarote ( Spain), where all nationalities have to be catered for , talking of which I used to be proud to be British….but…you can tell the Brits by the excess of lard ( far too many mobility scooters ) body ink, Trackies and Trainers and bald heads … well outclassed by our European comrades.. My only niggle is the peace and quiet ( or the lack of it ) from noon till late evening the amplifier seems to be stuck on 11.. We had a good 12 days and came back with very little white flesh ( although I put on 3Kgs ) blame that on the 4 meals a day with plenty of red wine Thank you Sol.

“Ok. But would not return”

Hotel was nice and clean. Food was ok, nothing more than you would expect from any typical AI. Kids selection of food was poor, breakfast was probably the best. Hotel was nice and clean. Food was ok, nothing more than you would expect from any typical AI. Kids selection of food was poor, breakfast was probably the best. The managed breaded broccoli most nights but never any chicken nuggets. Pool was ok, sun beds were a joke. If you didn’t have a towel on a bed by 07:30 then you were not getting a bed all day. Location was ok if you didn’t want much around, the odd bar and shop but nothing more. Entertainment was ok but again, we had to eat at 19:00 exactly when dinner opened and then straight to the entertainment, that then meant sitting there for over an hour waiting for it to start. I did like the self service drinks all day (lager, wines and soft drinks).Definitely would not stay again as there are more family friendly looking hotels closer to PDC.

“A nice holiday marred by forgotten property taken!”

We stayed at Sol Lanzarote for five days at the end of May 2024. We had a discount code to use, so we went for a Family Sea View room. We stayed at Sol Lanzarote for five days at the end of May 2024. We had a discount code to use, so we went for a Family Sea View room. To be honest, if we had to pay full price for it, I would have been slightly disappointed. The room was a bit tired and could do with a spruce up (in my opinion). I think the focus of the hotel is more on the pool/dining areas, as this is where the customers spend most of their time. Anyway, the holiday was fine. Lanzarote is lovely, if a bit windy. You don't realise quite how hot it is because of the breeze. Plenty of sunscreen is advised! What has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth about the hotel is that, when we left, we forgot to get the two jackets we had taken out of the wardrobe. Completely out mistake. They stayed in the wardrobe as we just didn't need them, hence forgetting we had taken them in the first place. Now, upon returning, we emailed the customer services email to ask if they had found them and if they could be returned to us, and that we were happy to pay the costs, etc. So far, no reply. We then emailed the reservations email. Apparently, they only found one of the jackets, not both! Which, as the jackets were together in the wardrobe, is just not possible. So sad to say, I wouldn't recommend the hotel to stay at purely because of this. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.
