“Great stay!”

Just returned from a great week. About 15 mins in a taxi from the airport. Was very impressed with the hotel. Stayed in a side sea view suite - spacious and well equipped. Beds comfy. Nice cold fridge. Bathroom a bit dated compared to modern bedrooms, but ok. Staff all very friendly (except a couple of moody bar men). A few hen and stag groups on the weekends but not too loud. More kids in the week - we stayed over half term so not sure if the same year-round. Pools a little cold but fine once in. As others mentioned, no sun bed reserving which meant you could always find somewhere to sit without getting up at 6am! A lovely change! Life guards do remove left towels pre-10.45 which was quite amusing to watch. After 10.45 beds could be left for up to an hour (just enough time for lunch). Downside of this was we ended up going for breakfast separately to avoid losing our spot. Breakfast was well equipped with lots of choice. Pool towels are charged €20 each to your room but removed from the bill when you return cards on check out. Nice amount of entertainment during the day and evening - enough to do but not disruptive. Various aqua aerobics and fun games in the pool. Aqua bikes every 3 days which was popular! Down in the ‘play bar’ pool near the beach various Dj sets and entertainment in the day which was great fun. Evening entertainment every night at 9.45 - varied from local singers, flamenco, bands etc. Food and drinks good quality and reasonable priced, but lots of other choices right on the doorstep or a short walk. Happy hour in the lobby bar 6pm-7pm but not far to walk up from pool and option for plastic glasses/jugs to take out. Overall really enjoyed our stay and can see why many people stay here regularly. We will probably return again.

I have just returned from a weeks stay at Hotel Ocean House, this is my first trip abroad in 5 years because I’m now in a wheelchair, I was very apprehensive about how I would cope but I need not have worried this hotel is so well set up for people with disabilities my adapted room was very spacious with hand rails and shower set, all the staff are so friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable. Having read some of the other reviews I was a bit worried about the lift to take you to the pool but if you use it properly you don’t have a problem, if you stand to close to the doors it senses you and keeps stopping obviously for safety reasons. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and were very happy with the choice served plenty to choose from. There was entertainment in the pool and the bar and the staff all work really hard, we really enjoyed and the food served at the bar. We also enjoyed the entertainment at night especially the Bee Gee’s tribute band. All in all they seemed to have catered for all age groups and abilities which for me is wonderful and we will definitely be staying again

The Hotel is very nice, the service was fabulous, the buffet for breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of excellent food. During my visit, following a visit to Ronda, I was surprised by a birthday card, a bottle of “champagne” and a birthday cake. This gesture was extremely appreciated. Our maid Begonia had a wonderful personality making us feel welcomed everyday and our room was impeccable upon our return everyday she worked our floor. The hotel is impeccable. Thank you Ocean House Costa del Sol and Begonia for making our trip extra special.

“Great holiday - would have been excellent if bear was found :(”

We have had a lovely 10 day stay. Staff were very friendly, hotel was clean, rooms had everything we needed. Location was great! We have had a lovely 10 day stay. Staff were very friendly, hotel was clean, rooms had everything we needed. Location was great! Beach was lovely, you have to pay 7€ for sun lounger but they are so comfy and clean! Only thing that was sad for us is my sons Teddy he had from birth got lost among the maids cleaning the bed and when we chased it up it was never found, we were always given an excuse which felt like no one was interested. I do understand it may just be a Teddy but to me and my son it means a lot. I have thick hair and normally hotel hair dryers aren’t good enough but this one was great so no need to pack your own! We hired towels which was a great service too if you need to save on space in your luggage. There was a bit of confusion on the policy. We swapped the towels for cards daily but on our second to last day we’re told no you keep the towels for the stay, so the communication on this could have been better. If we were being really picky we have two suggestions. 1. An easier way to the pool area from Buffett rather than going back up and then down. It wasn’t really an issue but because we had a pram it would have made life easier. 2. Wipes or somewhere to wash hands after eating prawns/seafood. They were delish but that would have helped! We had a really good time and would recommend this hotel!!!
