From previous reviews I was expecting the worst (this is what has partly prompted me to write a true review). As a family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children age 6 and 9) we had the best week away together. The rooms were cleaned well everyday and towels changed if we wanted them to be. There was a small fridge, tv and a large wardrobe. The shower was really nice with shampoo/conditioner and shower gel provided. The staff were all brilliant and worked very hard. The whole place was constantly being cleaned and tidied. My daughter went to the Katmadu kids club and enjoyed it and the games around the pool. Occasionally, there was a queue at the bar but the staff would call for help and the queue would disappear quickly. The glasses were big and you could order as much as you liked so you didn’t have to keep going back. There was a great variety of food all day including themed nights, Asian, Mexican plus others. There was always pasta and chips to be found along with a large salad bar, fresh breads, cheeses and puddings. My son wanted plain pasta one evening and it wasn’t out so the kind chef went away and cooked him some especially 😊 The snack bar was great with a variety of hot and cold food, including ice cream. If I had to find a negative, the pools were deep. However as a family of good swimmers it wasn’t a problem at all. Lots of children were able to enjoy the slides with armbands or a life vest. We would definitely return and are so glad we ignored the negative reviews.

What a week away! We all had the best time at Sol Falco, the staff didn't stop, entertainers were playing with the kids or practicing for the night time entertainment. The bar staff got queues down quickly and were super friendly. Staff in the restaurant didn't stop milling around tables, cleaning and taking empty plates. The whole place was just amazing. Ignore the bad reviews, yes the pools are deep, my children are not confident swimmers but get them a ring, couple of euros at the shop, couldn't get my two out! Loved every second of our stay and we were all very upset to leave!

Not one for reviews as I am of the opinion you need to know the individual who is writing the review in order to have a balanced opinion. However, I feel compelled to to write a review in support of the hotel due to some previous reviews read before we stayed for a week. I could genuinely find fault with any place, as I am of an age where the slightest thing can send me over the edge!!! I needn’t of worried with Sol Falco, it was brilliant from start to finish. The room is clean, house keeping happens every day, which is a blessing as the wife is old school untidy, yes the rooms are basic, however, I don’t understand what people want from a room where you will predominantly spend the time simply sleeping in it, shower was great and the the shower gels and hair products a nice touch, balcony was great too. The comments regarding the food are outrageous. I happily would be called a ‘food snob’, I like my food!! I found the comments regarding the food being disgusting are outlandish - every food group is catered for, the grill section is brilliant and the salad section outstanding with various accompanying sauces to compliment. Coming with a 3 year old, the pizza and pasta section served us well, he was genuinely disappointed when the ‘curry’ wasn’t on offer every night but enjoyed the chinese and Mexican themed evenings, not to mention the endless supply of ice cream and deserts, again superb. The drinks are great, from someone who likes a wine, I couldn’t fault it, the barmen will serve with good humour and are faultlessly polite. The comments regarding the entertainment seem to be written by those who if ‘Oasis’ reformed or ‘Coldplay’ played an impromptu gig in their back garden, they’d as then to keep the noise down and close the curtains!! Some brilliant acts to watch. The pool is deep, yes I am 6ft 4, but before I jump into a pool I would check the size of it or even if it would be suitable for my children, there are numerous lifeguards on support if your child does get into trouble whilst you lay on the plentiful sun-loungers, there is a lovely ‘salt pool’ that is smaller in depth but a greater distance from the bar. Only negative was the inquisitive question as to why ‘ that person has no clothes on daddy’ whilst visiting the close by beach, just be prepared to answer said question if you do go. I am someone who ‘likes what he likes’, but we have genuinely found a place that I would happily return to in a heartbeat, the hotel and food I are excellent, staff are superb, and the resort and situation was outstanding. Before I start the review, credit to the entertainment staff at Sol Falco who work tirelessly to entertain the hotel guests. Before I start the review, credit to the entertainment staff at Sol Falco who work tirelessly to entertain the hotel guests. They are an absolute asset to the hotel and we would of had a very different experience if it wasn't for their daily efforts! I hope they are compensated well for all that they do. Pro's- The hotel is very clean and the maids who came in daily to clean the rooms did a fantastic job (the staff carry the hotel). Our room was adequate sized and a big wardrobe space/ bed was comfy. I was impressed by the activity schedule and if you like fitness there are 3/4 fitness classes a day and the instructors are a delight. My 3 year old daughter wasn't quite old enough or big enough for the Katmandu Kids club but she enjoyed the Sleeperz club for under 4's and the staff were great with her and the area was well packed with toys and activities. The food is what you expect for an all inclusive and although many of us brits don't really enjoy them it did the job. I wasn't jumping for joy but the salad bar was nice, always chips to be found and bedrolls. I don't think I will ever rave about an all inclusive Buffett. They could of done with some themed nights though .... Con's- If you like a bit of British tv you wont find it in your room, only BBC news works so take your iPad. There is no way of changing the language on tv or plugging in a firestick either. There is also no kettle or tea making facilities in your room and I never successfully found English teabags either around the hotel. There are 7 pools as stated but not always shown but beware apart from the splash pool they are all very deep 1.7m above. There is no inbetween pool for people who arent strong swimmers or need to touch the floor which meant for the whole stay I couldnt go in the pool as a weak swimmer. Also, as every other review has pointed out the slides from the splash park go into the deep end (2.2m) which is so dangerous! My little girl was desperate to go down the slides but she couldnt go on them. It's almost like they built the splash park the wrong way round which was a real shame as one of our reasons for booking was the picture of the splash park for our 3 year old. Added extras- The gym is standard, a few dumbbells, leg extension and some basic technogym equipment. There are lots of cardio machines to choose from but no cable pulleys or racks for the weight lifters among us. Area surrounding- For us personally Cala n'bosch was not lively enough but the hotel had evening entertainment that kept us sane. We should of done our homework more about the area as there is only a small marina near buy with restraunts that are mainly seafood and tapas (not our cup of tea) but would suit a couple or mature group of friends. We are a young family and the lack of entertainment and buzz of the area didnt meet our expectations. The Marina is a 5min walk from the hotel and there are 2 beaches nearby but they are not your usual sandy beaches they are all very rocky and difficult to get to the sea. Also there are only supermarkets and souvenier shops, do not expect to find a McDonalds or shopping Centre near by. Overall, I think this is a nice hotel with exceptional staff but sadly the pool situation really lets it down!
