“Great hotel”

We stayed here from April 25-May 4. Just had the basic Sol room. We thought it was lovely with friendly staff. Our room had a small bar fridge where we could store our water and pop. We stayed here from April 25-May 4. Just had the basic Sol room. We thought it was lovely with friendly staff. Our room had a small bar fridge where we could store our water and pop. I found the bed and pillows very comfortable but my husband found the bed too firm for his liking. A free safe was also included. We did half board. Breakfast was fine. Loved the serve yourself cappuccino, espresso, etc and champagne and juice for mimosas. We weren’t big fans of dinner but great salad bar and lots of breads and cheeses to fill you up. In terms of the location we really liked it. Lots of bars, restaurants and shops right outside the hotel and the tourist office where we met our day trips was a 2-3 minute walk away. (Booked through visitanddo.com, highly recommend.) The hotel also has its own tour office and offers tours. (Attaching a picture at end of this review.) We made use of the hotel’s airport taxi service, booked it the day before we left at the reception desk for $20. (Loved this option.) Only con with this hotel is that it is a hike to the train station, about 15 mins, mostly uphill.

This is the second time at this hotel. Overall we had another lovely time. The room was ok nothing bad to say really. This is the second time at this hotel. Overall we had another lovely time. The room was ok nothing bad to say really. It’s good there is a fridge in the room but sadly no kettle but as we have been here before we did bring our own. The sunbeds had towels on them early in the morning and still hadn’t been used well into the afternoon I did notice more to the end of our stay the lifeguard putting notes on them. The Wi-Fi is free and works very well. My only thing that let’s this hotel down is the food it is lukewarm at best.

We’ve been at this hotel before. It’s a great location on the beach. The rooms are well decorated and the beds are very comfy. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of choice. The outdoor areas are well kept and clean. We arrived at night and were both very thirsty and the reception team gave us a bottle of water. This was an excellent touch and much appreciated. The room I was allocated was above the bins. Over night the noise of glass being thrown into the bins woke me a few times. The bins were emptied at 6am waking me again. The hotel bar at the time we visited didn’t seem to provide table service and a lot of tables hadn’t been cleared the times we were in. I was able to move to another room which was very quiet indeed. My advice to the hotel is not to sell these rooms overlooking the bins as it’s not pleasing to look at or listen to the noise. Perhaps more staff helping out in the bar providing table service. All in all the hotel provides a good experience.
