Exceptional. We had such an amazing experience over the course of our 3-night stay. ==Service== Usually, I'll talk about service later and highlight items like the location and state of the hotel first. But on this occasion, I feel I have to bring up service first because service at Sheraton Surabaya is just first-class. Everyone made us feel so welcomed, and you can tell that the enthusiasm is genuine. It isn't because they are doing a job. I wish I could mention everyone who we came into contact with but I don't have all the names. Here are just a few of them who are part of the Sheraton Surabaya outstanding crew: Alfred, Fitri, Jojok, Aldi from Kafe Bromo; Hendrika and everyone from the Executive Lounge, the front desk staff, the doormen... Everyone did a great job. ==Location== Perfect location with access to Tunjungan Plaza towers 1 to 6. That's enough to keep you entertained for a few days. Plenty of food options there too, including 3 food courts and many restaurants. It's also near to Tunjungan Street, which is the shopping street of Surabaya that really comes alive at night. We found that it was difficult to walk in Surabaya as it was hard to cross the roads with so much traffic. The locals just do it. But given our lack of skills, walkability was tough. So we realized having mall access is quite an important point for choosing a hotel in Surabaya. Everywhere else, you'll just have to use Grab or a taxi. ==Hotel & Rooms== We got a Club King room with executive lounge access. The room was well-maintained, clean, and spacious. Even though this isn't the newest hotel, it didn't feel dated. The bed and pillows were comfortable for a good night sleep. Like someone else mentioned, the TVs do not allow you to connect to your own streaming sites like Netflix. But there are quite a number of movie, sports, news, and variety channels. This could perhaps be updated to be more in line with today's 5-star hotel standards. Also, the cable charging points were all at one side of the bed. This could also be updated so that both sides of the bed have access to charging points. We didn't use the pool but it is a fair size and looks nice enough. ==Food== Food was good in general - at Kafe Bromo, for in-room dining, and at the executive lounge. We especially enjoyed the local food. ==Conclusion== I would say Sheraton Surabaya is the hotel we received the BEST SERVICE from, across all the hotels we've ever stayed in. Coupled with the desirable location, great food, and good facilities, I highly recommend Sheraton Surabaya. Well done to everyone at Sheraton Surabaya! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
