“Lovely hotel, great staff, great location for exploring”

Arrived at Hotel San Gil 21st March 2024 with my 3 sisters and was greeted by friendly staff and a beautiful looking hotel with a very Spanish vibe and decor. Out room was a double ground floor just off the garden terrace, the room was spacious, clean and ample size for my and my sister. The bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities good, our only critique would be that there be tea/coffee making facilities in the room for those early morning drinks in bed (we woke most mornings to the early morning chorus of the birds in the orange trees in the garden terrace, which was lovely) At breakfast we met staff member Maria who was super friendly, chatty and welcoming, the food was a mix of continental, fresh fruit, warm selections and cakes, with juices, hot drinks and even Cava if that takes your fancy! From the rooftop terrace you can see and hear the nearby churches, which was really lovely. We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening, as we explored local eateries. The rooftop pool was clean, water cooling after a long day walking, some may find it cold in temperature this time of year, but I love the cold water, so depends on your preference. We had drinks from the bar in the hotel one night, which were nice, not too pricey but the bar closes at 11am. We loved the location of the hotel, as it wasn't too central and was nice to walk into the main attractions, and along the way absorb the local area with shops, bars and restaurants. Plenty of Tapas options! I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend for others.

“Good hotel in Seville.”

This was a nice hotel and good value. The layout of the building and rooms helps to keep cool in hot Spanish weather - does mean the room was a little dark but that's worth it. Comfortable bed, good bathroom, and a delicious breakfast buffet with a wide selection. Staff were great at keeping everything topped up even shortly before the end of service, so it was rare to run out of anything. Nice bar and the prices are sensible, though as you would expect, a little more than local bars. You can walk to most of the main attractions in under half an hour, but it's cheaper than staying in the centre, so this is a good compromise if you're happy to walk. Nice pool, and the sunbathing terrace area is split over different levels so there's a bit more privacy. The courtyard is lovely to sit with coffee.
