The service was great start from the main entrance to the receptionist till the hotel room. They are old officers but can gave you good and efficient service. The variety of the breakfast is quite good and the taste is quite delicious. For room service you can try Nasi Goreng Sahid or Ayam Geprek. The sheets need to be replaced with spotless one.

“Friendly staff ”

Sahid Hotel is located on central Surabaya. It’s very close from Gubeng station. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful 😊 It was second time that I stayed there. There are 2 malls where close from Sahid Hotel: Galaxy City Mall & Delta Plaza

“Good to Stay but Lack of Internet Connection”

This Hotel was good enough and have large room for three stars Hotel. Also they provided variants menu for Breakfast. I had lil problem during checking in due to miscommunication from night shift to morning shift cos I requested early checking in and already confirmed. Then, when I came to the room and taking shower, the water at that time was dirty. Okay I did informing the staff and Duty Manager and they said still repairing the drainage and the water was okay in after. Next, the wifi was not running well. I did complaining and finally move room. Also the wifi connection was lack of running. Local Surabaya said this hotel very old and need to renovated but the most important thing is great whatever old or new but the basic thing facility such as internet connection fully got intension. Hoping that Sahid Surabaya Hotel can improve the service-oriented and also hospitality services.

I spent a night here while transiting through Surabaya. It is quite a big hotel with hundreds of rooms. The rooms are of a good size, their layout being similar to any star-rated hotel. I had a room with a big king-size bed meant for 2 people. The split AC was quite effective. The bathroom was nice with very good shower and running hot water. There was an electric kettle with arrangements for making tea / coffee. A small frig was provided. An old style (CRT) small TV was there. Bed linen is of very inferior quality. My bed sheet had stains. When I went for a shower, I found that there were no towels. Housekeeping had forgotten to put towels in the bathroom! After I repeatedly (3 times) called reception and housekeeping, the towels arrived after half an hour. The towels were frayed and looked shabby. WiFi in the room was unreliable and slow. I had to come to the lobby to get better connectivity. The view from my room window was good, the submarine museum was visible. But the window glass pane hadn't been cleaned for ages. The location of the hotel is awesome. Just a stone's throw from Plaza Surabaya and other malls. The Submarine Museum and Gubeng Train Station are virtually next door. I had specifically booked this hotel for its proximity to Gubeng Station.
