This AluaSoul is mid level hotel in the commercial district of Torremolinos - it’s ten minutes from the beach and it can be classed as a business hotel. However, it has a large pool area and an adjoining dayroom, so it is also a leisure hotel. The lobby area appears to have been recently renovated and is fresh and modern. We got a Globalist upgrade to a junior suite at check in - for which we are grateful. Globalist privileges extend to entry of a VIP lounge during the day for snacks and refreshments including alcoholic beverages - another unexpected perk, thank you. There was a good selection at the breakfast buffet - and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a railway station three minutes walk from the hotel giving access to Malaga, the airport and the shopping village. We found this to be any easy way into the city and to the shopping village. However, the train is popular and can get crowded. It can be used for airport transfers, but this recommended only if you have light luggage. There’s no need to buy a ticket - just tap in and out with your credit card. Many thanks to Elena at reception for the warm welcome.

“Perfect location, great hotel”

Love the location it’s so close to the town and the railway station. Lovely hotel, good breakfast, quiet pool area which we liked. The staff are so helpful especially the receptionists.

The hotel it self is lovely and the pool area looked great at a glance but we had a bad smell in our room which wasn’t great, we mentioned it to reception with no alternative.

I was here for a 'functional' visit - had some meetings in Torremolinos and stayed only 2 nights. For that purpose, the hotel suited me very well. It's right in the centre of town, only 3 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is modern, clean, and nicely decorated. My standard room wasn't very big, but the bed was good (also good size) and there was sufficient room to walk around. I appreciated the coffee/tea facilities in the room. The bathroom was small but clean and modern (could do with some shelves to store your toiletries though). The balcony was a let-down. Small, and clearly most people use it for smoking. So when opening the balcony door, instead of fresh air you often let in cigarette smoke from other guests. Sitting on the balcony likewise was mostly about second-hand smoking. I had breakfast included and that was very nice. Large restaurant and a good selection. Staff very friendly. The rooftop bar is a nice bonus, and prices are very reasonable there. The reason I gave this hotel 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's situated at a very busy road - I can't imagine relaxing at the pool with all this road noise in the background. And of course all the nasty cigarette smoke from other guests that floats freely into you room the minute you open a window...
