From the time we walked up to the time we entered we were in awe of this classic beauty.. The Hotel has been very well maintained With added amenities such as AC and TV That do not take away from the charm. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I wish they had a lift but it did not really take much away as the staff was kind enough to carry our luggage up the stairs to our room. We are traveling for 6 weeks so this was no easy task as our bags were heavy. The restaurant also was very good.

“Not handicapped accessible”

The hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. Staff was friendly BUT this hotel is not accessible. A person with a wheelchair would have difficulty entering guest rooms or bathrooms. We were in need of a shower chair. They did not have one, a room equipped with one or even grab rails. Do better!

This is a great property for those looking for a boutique hotel. We really loved the location and proximity to the lake, gardens, Polynesian Spa (where we'd already booked appointments) and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. We were in Room 3. However, the shower was one of those tub showers with a half wall that rotates on hinges, and water went all over the floor no matter how you turned the shower head. I really don't understand why hotels won't just figure out that you really need either a full wall (with a door that is sealed in some way) or a curtain to prevent that from happening. One of those nice curved shower curtain rods with a curtain would have worked well in this case. Also, the toilet runs FOREVER after you flush, even on the low flush. And, the sink is incredibly low...too low for my husband who is 6'1". There are plenty of outlets, which is great, but there aren't any bedside tables, just an alcove above the bed, which is awkward in the middle of the night. Overall, it's a nice place if you like boutique properties, but if you want modern conveniences, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

I stayed here as part of a hiking trip for one night. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet delicious. Can be a litle bit noisy from the road traffic but it does quieten down as it gets later. I was a bit disappointed that shampoo and shower gel were supplied but no conditioner. You also coudn't fully open the shower door because it would hit the toilet! I can't comment on the cost as it came as part of my overall hiking package. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. Very nice coffee options in the room.
