Definitely the staff are all friendly and helpful. We had multiple staff assist us for 1 request as if they were vying to see who gets to help :) Room was clean. Temperature control is handly. Right across from Convention centre is convinient. Person who cleaned our room is very proactive. She must have seen that we drink tea only, so she put extra tea in the room. Pool is great. Hot tub was not working but looks good! Did not try the restaurant but looks like it was busy and I can see the food on their table looks great! Water pressure is great as well as the WIFI. Bus stops near building where you can walk underground to get to the hotel in about 5-10 min. Under ground is attached to small mall with food court and small stores. I would warn is that there is this metal plate sticking out from the bed underneath. I hit the back of my foot on it. So I was more careful around that area. Plus we were facing the water front in front of several bar/restaurants. There were lines to get in Saturday night and we could hear a bit of music. It's fine with my family. Might not be for others who are sensitive to a bit of noise. There is no coin laundry but apparantly, you can use the sister hotle near by. We didn't as we were ok with laundry. Will absolutely stay there again!

Hubby and i stayed here overnight cause of a concert at Scotiabank Center, we could walk there and back, maybe a 5 minute walk both ways. Went to check in and said we would like to have our car parked, asked reason for our stay, said we were here to go to the concert. The guy that checked us in said im upgrading you to the executive suite no extra charge, i was like sweet, thank you so very much. Gave us tickets for our free hot buffet breakfast. Went to our room was 2 bottles of wine, red and white, had access to the lounge for snacks and drinks on same floor as our room. The room had everything, keurig and coffee, fridge, all amenities in the bathroom, and room was very clean. Called for ice, he brought ice to our room. Breakfast buffet was excellent, staff very friendly.

“Dim lighting but generous food servings”

Stayed here during a conference at the Convention Centre. An older hotel, it is located up near the historic Town Clock. Stayed here during a conference at the Convention Centre. An older hotel, it is located up near the historic Town Clock. A steep trek up and down Prince Street to/from the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk. Taxi from the Halifax Stanfield Airport out near rural Goffs was approx. $75 each way. Hotel hallway was dark up to my room 531 near the end. Better lighting closer to the two elevators. Room was also dimly lit and decorated in shades of brown except for the white linens. The door to the hallway opened easily until halfway then it needed to strength of Sampson to open it further or keep it open. Ease off the bolts a bit. Only shampoo and conditioner containers in the shower (the rectangular space that had been the bathtub). The liquid soap was bolted to the wall over by the vanity sink. Ah, to sprint out mid-shower for a squirt of soap or use the shampoo (which also said body wash in small print). Sheeesh people, just add a soap container in the shower. And a safety handrail would be a good addition too. My two served breakfasts (omelet and salmon benedict) in the main floor restaurant were good and the servings generous. There is a Sunday Buffet. The fish and chips (two large pieces of crispy fish, many chips plus coleslaw) which I ordered on room service was also good. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
