Just returned from a week’s stay at the Seth Port Mahon, this was a return trip having stayed previously in 2017. Such a lovely hotel, which has been renovated in recent years. Our room was very comfortable with an amazing view, we were lucky to be staying in a Junior Suite, the bathroom was a definite upgrade, great shower, a good nights sleep, a coffee machine which my husband used daily, little touches, and always throughly cleaned each day. It was great to recognise so many of the hotel staff, a sign of good management at the hotel and a happy team, all of which couldn’t have been any more helpful and friendly during our stay. Silvia on reception and Gemma in the bar were particular favourites. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and throughout our stay we were always made to feel incredibly welcome. We visited as a family of three, our son now 14, so this time we were only bed and breakfast, but did enjoy lunch at the hotel on several days. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options and they were great with helping with my husband’s dairy allergy when we had questions. The hotel is only a 15 min taxi ride from from airport, and a short walk away from the town of Mahón, which has great shops and cafès, you can also head down to the mariner for wonderful views and plenty of restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend the Seth Port Mahon hotel, we’ll definitely be returning to that amazing view, at one of our most favourite places to stay. “Fabulous hotel worthy of being more than a 4 star!”

A truly brilliant hotel! We stayed here for 11 nights in a junior suite with stunning views over Mahon Harbour and out to sea. The hotel is built in a colonial style, and inside is immaculate throughout. It has around 80 rooms but feels boutique. Our room was impressive - spotlessly clean throughout the whole stay, very large with a huge bed and a lovely sitting area. The bathroom was also huge, with a vast walk-in shower and a toilet in an ante-room with its own door - a really nice feature. Hotel-provided toiletries are all environmentally friendly, and were kept topped up every day. Our balcony was perfect too! The hotel bar was fabulous - a huge array of drink choices - including the local specialty, Pomada! There is ample indoor seating - all looked brand new and of various styles, and the outdoor terrace was equally ample with stunning views of the harbour. A selection of outdoor sofas, bar stools and more formal seating give you every choice under the sun, and the sun canopy was invaluable at times! The hotel restaurant was brilliant - breakfast provided everything you need and more - from typical cooked breakfast choices through cold meats and cheeses, a choice of chef-prepared options, cereals, yoghurts, fruits etc etc etc! And for dinner, alongside the great bar menu, the hotel's buffet was really great - so great that after a busy day of sightseeing it's the perfect choice in the evening. The hotel provided evening entertainment every other evening - all exceptional. We enjoyed classy instrumentalists (the guitarist, violinist, and clarinetist were brilliant), and a great jazz duo too. The hotel's pool is also first class - large, and surrounded by a wide range of seating and sunbathing furniture including fabulous round double beds! Plenty of umbrellas provided us with some shade too, and it's all a stone's throw from the bar. The hotel is right in the port area, and just a few steps from a wide range of bars and restaurants right at sea level. To get there you need to take a few steps down - great until it's time to come back so the discovery of the lift just a few metres away from the hotel was a bonus!! The beautiful Old Town of Mahon is just an easy 10 minute walk away, or for a more scenic route along the harbour front it's an easy 15-20 minutes away. Mahon is packed with opportunities for shopping, sightseeing, culture, food and drink, and we were blown away by it. We've never been to Menorca before, but Mahon along with the rest of the Island really amazed us with its beauty, history, friendliness, and food. We hired a car for 3 days and it was well worth it to get to see other fantastic locations. We also caught the bus to Ciutadella one day - about a 45 minute direct journey on the express bus or 1 hour on the service that diverts to a couple of towns along the way. A great service to easily visit this former capital city which is worth every minute of the journey. Back to the hotel - and this review would not be complete without praising the hotel's staff team. From reception, through bar and restaurant staff, catering staff and housekeeping, they were, without exception, some of the best - if not the best - we've ever experienced. We travel alot and so to be this impressed takes some doing! The manager too was always present, and made herself visible at key times (breakfast, dinner etc). Her 'office' is actually a desk in the lobby - a fabulous touch which makes her always available. She is rightly proud of her staff - she told us so when we praised them at check-out. All in all, a truly magnificent hotel in a beautiful city on a fabulous island.

Excellent hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing, and nothing runs out, the chefs kept everything topped up. The evening buffet was also very good with plenty of choice. The walk to the town along the harbour is very nice. You can go down the steps in front of the hotel or if you turn left out of the hotel and go past the blue funnel of the Maritme club there is a concrete block which is a lift down to the harbour (very useful, especially for coming back up) We did the trip round the harbour on the Don Joan which was lovely and also the trip to Illa Del Rei which is well worth a visit. The town is full of restaurants and cafes and beautiful churches and the museum is also worth a visit. We took the bus to Es Castell and had lunch at Cala Fonts which is gorgeous.

We have just returned from our first visit this year to the hotel, we have been before. Everything is as good as it always was, thanks to the leadership of Ernestine and the hard work of her team who made our holiday so special. The reception staff managed by Sylvia are always helpful and friendly, the Chef and kitchen team produce wonderful, varied food every day, the restaurant team - particularly Javi, Pedro, Vincente and Victor (not sure of the other names) work very hard to ensure the guests are happy, the cleaning girls/boys do a wonderful job throughout the hotel. it is to Ernestine's credit that we saw the same staff this year as when we stayed last year. Many hotels now, struggle to retain their staff so it must be as nice a place to work as it is to stay for a holiday. Well done to everyone. We will be back again to enjoy this special place in such a perfect location as soon as we can.
