I would give this hotel 5 stars but as other other people have mentioned in other reviews the queuing for the drinks is an issue and just an absolute pain. There's no self service during the day for water/soft drinks. (I had a lady in front of me queuing for about 15 mins just to get some ice and water) The problem is this hotel is not solely all inclusive (which is the board i had) which I am guessing why there is no self service. One evening I just wanted some water...gave up queuing and went to reception and they gave me some (but it was at a charge) On a more positive note the rooms are nice albeit a bit small, but I'm only in there to sleep and shower. I was also very impressed with the food and the location is great next to the marina. If they just sorted the drinks/queue problem out I would definitely come back. I have never been anywhere all inclusive before and just had to wait so long for a dam drink.

“Not a 4 star hotel”

I've enjoyed holidaying at this hotel for 3 years running but since it's takeover earlier this year there has been a marked deterioration in all areas. I've enjoyed holidaying at this hotel for 3 years running but since it's takeover earlier this year there has been a marked deterioration in all areas. There was a lack of staff in all areas ie cleaners, waiters, cooks and bar staff resulting in the bedroom not being cleaned properly, the outside sitting area near the entertainment area had dirty tables and seating was covered in tree debris as was the floor. The quality of food was very poor with cheap cuts of meat etc plus a lack of variety. We discussed this with the Jet2 rep who passed on our concerns to the Manager but there was little improvement. Many others also made complaints to the Manager. I will not be holidaying at the Palmasol again.

What a great location, just by the Marina. Hotel is clean but very dated and in need of a remodel. Don’t go all inclusive as the food on offer is basic. Although we only did breakfast and Lunch. Be prepared to Queue for drinks both day and night and I mean QUEUE as bar service is extremely undermanned and very slow Surprised that beach towels weren’t available and you had to pay for a safety deposit box. I thought that went out in the late 1990s. Pool area very tight but clean and plenty of very uncomfortable sun beds available. Hotel staff are friendly but I wouldn’t say the best we have come across. We booked a cheap week away and that’s exactly what we got so no complaints, just a balanced review

Good hotel , great Jet2 rep very helpful . Food was good with great choices , and my wife loved the croissants at breakfast . Room cleaning not what im used to in a 4 star hotel. Room small but adequate , there are now 2 building sites  but I never noticed them as not in the room throughout the day. Bands they scan at bars is a pain but never had to queue long .Could not find games room or billiards table.Entertainment not great but Bee gees night was very good.If you visit the old town expect really steep inclines as built on the side of mountain. On a serious point, be extra careful when outside the hotel there are a lot of pickpockets. I know of 3 people who lost their wallets. The gibraltar trip was good with lots of info and alcohol tobacco and perfumes really cheap. Plus point the airport is its quiet close to the hotel so not long travelling times
