Have just returned from the palmasol,we were a bit apprehensive after reading some of the negative reviews,please just ignore them,it’s one of the best hotels we have stayed,the food was amazing a fantastic choice and something for everyone,breakfast,lunch and diner,we were all inclusive and they have a system where you have a wristband with a chip in and this gets you all your drinks,let’s you into your room without the worry of card keys etc,and also you show it at the dining room on entering,the rooms are spotless,if I was going to say anything negative the bathroom is a bit small and only one shelf for your toiletries,but that’s the only negative thing,the staff,every single one of them are fantastic,they can’t do enough for you,the grounds are well maintained palm trees , grass etc,and one of the best features,the swimming pool is locked till 10 am hence stopping the usual suspects putting their towels down around 3 am and not using the sun beds till the afternoon,someone mentioned the sun beds being grubby ,well they are not,they are hosed down most mornings,and good standard, We will defiantly be returning to the palmasol some time this year,

What a great location, just by the Marina. Hotel is clean but very dated and in need of a remodel. Don’t go all inclusive as the food on offer is basic. Although we only did breakfast and Lunch. Be prepared to Queue for drinks both day and night and I mean QUEUE as bar service is extremely undermanned and very slow Surprised that beach towels weren’t available and you had to pay for a safety deposit box. I thought that went out in the late 1990s. Pool area very tight but clean and plenty of very uncomfortable sun beds available. Hotel staff are friendly but I wouldn’t say the best we have come across. We booked a cheap week away and that’s exactly what we got so no complaints, just a balanced review

Good hotel , great Jet2 rep very helpful . Food was good with great choices , and my wife loved the croissants at breakfast . Room cleaning not what im used to in a 4 star hotel. Room small but adequate , there are now 2 building sites  but I never noticed them as not in the room throughout the day. Bands they scan at bars is a pain but never had to queue long .Could not find games room or billiards table.Entertainment not great but Bee gees night was very good.If you visit the old town expect really steep inclines as built on the side of mountain. On a serious point, be extra careful when outside the hotel there are a lot of pickpockets. I know of 3 people who lost their wallets. The gibraltar trip was good with lots of info and alcohol tobacco and perfumes really cheap. Plus point the airport is its quiet close to the hotel so not long travelling times

Disappointing 4 star hotel. They have introduced a wristband system for access to room and entry into restaurant. Our first ones didn’t work and luckily a maid was on our corridor and she gave us access to our room. We received new ones and went out for a drink. We had only been out an hour or so, walking back to the hotel, luckily I was walking slightly behind my husband and I suddenly noticed his wristband on the floor! Not a good idea as they are so flimsy, helped several guests later in the week to get into their rooms. The restaurant food was excellent at breakfast but dinner wasn’t so good. The restaurant opened at 7.30pm and due to the entry system with the wristbands there was always a queue to get into the restaurant. If you didn’t get in the queue for hot food, after the first dozen or so guests, there were empty trays, the kitchen wasn’t geared to the hot food demand. I only got hot food two days out of 7, the other days I ended up with salad, which was good and varied, but I wasn’t prepared to queue and wait 15 minutes for the hot food to be refreshed. The rooms were cleaned each day but it was a lottery as to what towels you received! Only had floor mat twice and hand towel a couple of times! Bathroom had obviously been partly updated but the bath in our room was rusty around the plug hole and the bath had no surface therefore was very slippy, hence I had a bath rather than risking a fall. I don’t think it is 4 star standard, three weeks ago we stayed in a 4 star in Majorca, a hiphotel and it was far superior than the Palmassol.
