“Fantastic place to stay in Salou”

What a gem of a hotel, it looks brand new. It has recently been totally refurbished to a very high standard. We stayed for one night in late October, but the hotel was full of business people at a conference, as well as tourists. we opted for the half board option, the food choice was unbelievable, and excellent quality. The pedestrianised road outside was was very busy with tourists, and only a very short walk to the beach. Would stay again when in the area.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel in October. The rooms and all areas of the hotel are beautifully presented. Staff are friendly and helpul. I went half board and the food was excellent. Both pool areas are lovely and the roof top pool is exceptional. The beach and the main promenade are only a 10 minute walk away. I'll definitely be returning

Positives: I enjoyed the evening meals. The reception staff are very helpful. The rooftop area is beautiful. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is spotless clean. Negatives: Bar staff have very little English so hard to communicate. Could be friendlier. The outside noise makes for a difficult nights sleep. We were in a room opposite an arcade. It was a disaster. The restaurant staff arrive at your table wanting your room number. Why I don’t know as you give your room number upon arrival. They hang around the tables too much looking to clear plates within seconds of finishing your food. It became increasingly annoying. The one napkin that’s provided is all you have throughout the meal. We had to reach over to other tables if we needed more. With young children, they can be messy so I feel some napkin dispensers around the dining area is needed. No diet tonic throughout the ten days stay so I had to buy my own as I can’t have high sugar drinks due to diabetes. Due to this, I felt negatively judged by the bar staff. I informed the receptionist but they never stocked any. Many customers drink gin and diet tonic so I feel for a four star hotel it should be available. The lighting in the bar area is way too bright. It felt like an operating theatre. No dimmer lights for during nightly shows. The pools are freezing cold. If I was to visit Salou again, unfortunately I wouldn’t return to this hotel.

As a family of 6 we found the hotel very welcoming. The decor is lovely, bright and seems to have been updated recently. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. The pool areas are lovely and clean and the sunbeds are very comfortable. The ground floor pool is more spacious than the rooftop pool and has more sunbeds, which might be a issue in full season. The only downside to the ground floor pool is the noise from the building site next door. It's very noisy and difficult to have a conversation without shouting. The breakfasts were nice with a huge variety to choose from. There are fresh omelets and pancakes made to order which were popular with my gang. The rooms were lovely and bright and cleaned daily to a high standard. The only negative is the standard room was quite compact. Not a lot of room for three. On a positive the towels were fluffy the beds comfortable. The location of the hotel was very central to the main strip and 5 mins walk to the beach where you could enjoy a lovely walk and stop for a coffee along the way. It was also a short taxi ride from the airport. Overall we did enjoy our stay.
