“Excellent hotel in Bilbao”

Top class facilities and services, spacious and quiet, excellent breakfast and very close to Metro station . Staff very friendly and helpful, requests dealt with no fuss, only disappointment being pool suddenly closed on 30th September while temperature forecast was for 34C....

Competent and friendly service, english knowledge is to improve, room was large, but a lit bit loud due to the 4 lane street in front of the Hotel, great hints for Bilbao and Metro were given by reception,

The hotel itself is very nice and reasonably priced. The rooms are good, the breakfast is tasty, and the whole experience of the hotel is great. But.... What let's it down is that the pictures and the advertisements indicate it includes a gym, pool, and spa but this is not correct. You have to pay an extra €8 for the gym and €20 to use the pool because you can't use it without the spa. You have to pay this every time rather than per day, which would seem more reasonable. So if you want to swim in the morning, go do you thing, and then relax with a sauna in the evening that's an extra €40 per day. Which is a lot on top of the room cost. I mainly booked the hotel because I thought it came with the gym included so this deception seems underhanded and disappointing.

“Passable business hotel, far from center and POI”

Pretty disappointing for a 4 stars, rooms are worn out, location is a tat out of center and away from most of the POI, along a road and no restaurants or bars around. It has a parking, 20 euro a day, rooms are quiet if on the back and overseeing the city landscape, since the venue is on a hill. ... more

Pretty disappointing for a 4 stars, rooms are worn out, location is a tat out of center and away from most of the POI, along a road and no restaurants or bars around. It has a parking, 20 euro a day, rooms are quiet if on the back and overseeing the city landscape, since the venue is on a hill. I was changed rooms 3 times, the entry type rooms at 78 euros a night are only twin beds, you need to pay another 15 euros for a queen bed (never seen this in my life), then I was put in a room reeking of cigarette smell, last one was passable on 7th floor, with a nice view. For 1 night on a business trip this place is tolerable. Defintiely not a good tourism hotel nor practical in any way for much business travellers neither. Breakfast was good though, nice choice and quality products too
