“Pretty nice Chinese hotel”

I stayed in sweet for a week and I really liked the hotel. The pool is very good and the gym very very good!! Breakfast was not very western but they had nice pies, eggs, vegetables and some bread so for me it was ok. If you walk 20 minutes you will find very nice temple area and old street as well… more

I stayed in sweet for a week and I really liked the hotel. The pool is very good and the gym very very good!! Breakfast was not very western but they had nice pies, eggs, vegetables and some bread so for me it was ok. If you walk 20 minutes you will find very nice temple area and old street as well as a big park, art museum and a huge mall. However, next to the hotel there is not much but still some small shop and a good supermarket and pharmacy. Subway is maybe 200 meters away. Starbucks is in the hotel offering good coffee and western style salads etc.

“5 Night Stay while waiting for my apartment”

This is not a bad hotel if you need a place to stay until you find an apartment in Shanghai. It is near my work and subway station. Many grocery stores are nearby and Koreatown is about a 15 minute walk down Hongxin Road. The rooms were nice and clean. I did not like the bathroom personally but… more

This is not a bad hotel if you need a place to stay until you find an apartment in Shanghai. It is near my work and subway station. Many grocery stores are nearby and Koreatown is about a 15 minute walk down Hongxin Road. The rooms were nice and clean. I did not like the bathroom personally but it sufficed. The breakfast buffet was a bit of a disappointment but again, there was a Starbucks nearby at Noble Center. The staff speak limited English.

Location: The hotel looks outstanding from outside. 5-10 minuets walk to small boutiques, grocery stores and bus stops. Nice quiet area around this hotel. Hotel: Inside in the lobby, elevator and open areas it's very clean and nice. The standard hotel rooms are average. Bed is (like most Chinese hotels) hard. Free water bottles, mini fridge with snacks/drinks for a small fee. The lights is the "blue" light which gives the rooms a cold feeling. This is a Chinese hotel - staff speak very limited English! There's also conference rooms, spa, tennis yard at this hotel. Compared to price. It's okay all in all.

“Cheap is as Cheap does”

For $30 a month I was not expecting too much & that is pretty much what I got. A cheap Chinese hotel. The lobby was clean enough and the staff helpful, I found someone that always spoke enough English to get by & they were able to call taxis for me. The elevator is an experience and takes a second to figure out how to operate. The room was large and plenty of light both natural and artificial. The bed was hard as a rock and linens just ok. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in ages, but maybe swept. The bathroom was pretty clean, safe enough in slippers but I don't think I would go barefoot. The tv was good sized and has only one channel with English. The hotel offers a few snacks and drinks in the room for a small fee and gives you a few free bottles of water. I attempted a massage at the spa but I could not get anywhere as I didn't speak Mandarin and no one there spoke English. The hotel is walking distance to a grocery store, a few corner stores and the old Qibao Town, which was well worth a visit. I highly recommend walking around there for a few hours.
