“Wonderful stay”

We booked a suite at the Neptune for the sat/sun night. Due to availability we were upgraded to the junior suite which overlooked the beach. Absolutely wonderful room. Spacious terrace which accommodated a hub tub, loungers, outside shower, lounge area with sofa and comfy seats and a small dining area. The inside was just as great. Spacious area with divided bedroom and living space. Large bathroom that provided upmarket toiletries. Storage and wardrobe space was more than enough. Mini fridge provided complimentary soft drinks and water, and coffee machine had ample pods for hot drinks. Having read previous reviews, I did have a slight concern being given a beach front room. But…… unlike other reviews, the distant music from the nearby nightclub was by no means intrusive. Having returned to my room at approximately 12.30am on the sat night and sat on my terrace I couldn’t say the noise was an issue. And when I closed the terrace door there was no noise. The staff here are extremely professional, as well as welcoming and friendly. The establishment is well maintained to high standard, and a lot of thought has been put into guest expectations. The onsite restaurant Provides excellent food and service. So don’t feel you have to venture elsewhere for a excellent dining experience. During the day the outside seating gets the sun all afternoon, wonderful place to relax. A huge Thankyou to Amanda who looked after us on the Sunday. Would highly recommend this hotel. Ideal location and excellent service.

“Great Sea Front Location”

Lovely clean friendly hotel well situated by the water frone with plenty of walkway to walk or cycle. Great dining ares and lounge looking out to the water. Lift/elevator has glass so be careful if you suffer vertigo. Rooftop has sun bathing area with pool to cool of but not swin unfortunately but the sea is there if you wish to walk the distance over beach to reach sea.

“Great accommodation in perfect spot”

Overall great hotel. The location on the beach was amazing, the room itself was very nice and the restaurant downstairs was great. Overall great hotel. The location on the beach was amazing, the room itself was very nice and the restaurant downstairs was great. If I could give any feedback it would be that the tv's in rooms were both very small and very outdated. No HMI inputs so you're relegated to 7 channels total, and basically one in each language. Not that you go to a beach in Spain to watch tv lol, but it does come in handy on occasion. Wifi was crap also. That said, again the place is very nice and the location cannot be beat. For food, i'd recommend not just hitting the line of eateries along the beach, but you can walk like 4 blocks toward town and find local places that are delicious and inexpensive. Old town is a very short cab ride away (cabs are always lined up in front of hotel also) and cannot be missed!

Let’s start off with the positives. It’s at the end of metro line 8, so a straight line from the airport on line 5, with only a platform to cross at maritim. And it’s next to the beach. It couldn’t get any closer if it tried. And the bus turisitic stops almost right outside just before 10am to take the plucky tourist like me wherever they want to go. The rooms were also impeccably clean. On paper, this hotel should have been amazing, with a jacuzzi and rooftop terrace. But. I didn’t like it at all. Let’s look at the not so positive aspects of this hotel. Firstly, the late night noise. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were all ruined by some kind of heavy bass dance music blasting from somewhere close by until 4am. I get that the hotel has apparently no control over this, but I agree with other reviewers that it’s a nuisance. A freebie set of ear plugs courtesy of the hotel wouldn’t have gone amiss. And also, the (expensive) price of this place is worth mentioning. I could only afford to stay here as I was cashing in reward nights I’d gathered from business trips earlier in the year, otherwise I’d definitely have carried on looking. But the price advertised for breakfast before I arrived at 28 euros was a joke. I was told 18 euros for a buffet breakfast, but that is still ridiculous when you consider a juicy granny smith apple costs 40c in all the supermarkets here. Perhaps they think they have guests over a barrel as there isn’t a supermarket nearby (the closest thing is a Burger King, but that had the vibe of a dive as none of the machines were working and apparently the word “cheeseburger”, although the same in Spanish, is incomprehensible without the subtle difference in Spanish pronunciation). Dinner is also a bit of an insult to the single people amongst us. They proudly advertise a set menu at the lift, but what’s the catch? It’s paella, so two of you must order. Not very welcoming for plucky lil Joanna travelling on her tod. I also had problems logging on to Wi-Fi with my apple phone (to be fair, the lady at reception warned me about this when I arrived), as apple seem to think the Wi-Fi is a security risk. I’d also like to mention check in times. Here, it’s 4pm, which I felt was quite late. I rocked up at just after 1pm and was told my room wasn’t ready, so I had to leave my bag. They did offer to text me, but as there then seemed to be an issue working out how to qctually text me with an international code, I smiled politely and muttered I’d be back well after 4pm. Somehow there seemed to be a lot of nonsense caused by the way this hotel was run, which is a shame, because I really wanted to enjoy this hotel stay a lot more than I managed to.
