We stayed at the hotel for one week half board to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. TBH this hotel wasn’t our first choice. We had originally booked elsewhere but a month before our departure was informed of building work so we decided to change, not wanting a holiday full of dust, noise and disruption. We have been to Tenerife many times but have never arrived to rain and a week of cloud and minimal sun. No one’s fault can’t control the weather. But disappointed. We had emailed the hotel beforehand informing them of our anniversary to enquire if anything could be done to help celebrate. Not really expecting much perhaps a bottle of bubbly possibly in our room. Unfortunately just received a “Happy Anniversary” from the lady on reception on arrival, evidencing that they did receive my email. We arrived at hotel late morning after an early flight. Was told our room wouldn’t be ready till 3pm. That was a lot of waiting around, so be prepared for this if you’re arriving early. Others arriving after us, however did seem to get their room’s first. Hotel is very aesthetically pleasing. Lots of pretty waterfalls, walkways and bridges on differing levels. Lots of stairs too but there are lifts. Pool is large and sunbeds available no matter what time of day you came down. No need to reserve. This could be largely due to the unfortunate weather, as I can imagine it gets very busy at the height of the season. Pool towels are nice and large and you can change these daily at pool. Unfortunately the pool has no atmosphere and is so quiet. Would be so lovely to have some background music playing at least. Food here is as expected. Catering for the masses so food luke warm but a fair amount of choice. Desserts, as always in Europe, a let down. Soft with very little taste. No fresh cooking egg station at breakfast which is rare in hotels now, but you certainly won’t go hungry. There are two a La carte restaurants both payable for those guests on half board and a reduced price for those in AI. Very strange as normally the visits would be complimentary. We didn’t use either. Staff everywhere friendly and welcoming. Loads of activities to choose to get involved with, but do require booking and get filled up quickly. Our room was large but a little tired, expected more from a junior suite. Floor visibly scratched, curtains dirty at bottom and furniture damaged in places. Large balcony but no view. Sun beds and comfy chairs on balcony. King size bed, lots of toiletries and other useful items. Free Use of safe included. Towels nice and big and changed everyday and room was kept ok. Tea/coffee available but only given two milks and one English breakfast t bag, so one drink per day. Fridge in room so why not give a small jug or bottle of milk. Mini bar available if on AI. Payable if not. Evening entertainment was low key but most acts were very good and we enjoyed them. Bar service was very good. Beach is a little way from hotel downhill. Coming back uphill not so good so be warned. Not good if you have mobility issues. No little nic nac shops nearby either but lots of designer ones. Not our cup of tea when just wanting to purchase a few souvenirs for the grandchildren. Would we revisit- we would if we managed to get a good deal. This holiday did cost us a lot especially as we changed hotels at last minute and we didn’t find anything better or extra than previous hotels that warranted the extra money that we paid.

An honest comprehensive review. I would recommend this hotel if you have a good deal. It is however very much a 4 star hotel rather than a 5 star. At least it felt that way to me. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by polite staff however had issue understanding the taxi driver who refused to take a card payment and the front of house staff didn’t help with any translation. The front desk personnel were very polite and spoke great English. Gave us an in depth guide to the hotel and we were escorted to our rooms. We had a very nice seaside view and the room was very clean. It was definitely worth the price we paid as we had a very good deal but I wouldn’t recommend for their standard prices which is on average £155 a night when we stayed. On one occasion the maid who changed the bedding put wet bedding on and had to go to the front desk to sort it after being out all day we had to wait to have a lay down. This issue was sorted but with no apology. On another occasion a maid after cleaning the room came back around 1-2 hours later and knocked while my partner was in the shower so it wasn’t heard and we weren’t expecting anyone as the room had already been cleaned, she walked in and saw my partner naked in the shower. She did apologise but again not quite expected. In addition to this, our room is located right below one of the restaurants so every morning at 8am you wouldn’t be able to get a 9am lay in as they start serving food at 8 meaning you hear ALL the noise of tables and chairs moving. You also hear everything going on outside of the rooms such as the maids with their trolleys. The hotel is located on a hill slightly away from amenities but the taxis are cheap and efficient. The front desk book these for you and they sometimes arrive within 60 seconds and are relatively cheap at around 4-10 euros. Due to the location it is quite difficult to access without using transport unless you would like walking up steep incline so be aware of that if you’re disabled or struggle with walking. The hotel does have a very large pool area and we had no trouble accessing a lounger. There were also multiple activities such as pool spin classes on bikes etc which I did think looked very good. The pool area was mostly clean but a fair amount of debris in the pool still so not overly thorough. You’re also given 2 free cocktails to have by the pool upon arrival which we used with no issue and enjoyed. I wouldn’t recommend using the main bar for cocktails as they’re VERY expensive for what they were. It cost 24 EUROs for 2 small cocktails. The positives are that there are 3 restaurants located in the hotel with a bar in the main lobby and by the pool. The all inclusive breakfast was also REALLY good and we ate there every morning. The staff are very polite and the front desk staff were very helpful. The views are also great from all areas of the hotel. You have mini bar in your room alongside a secure safe. The rooms are well equipped with everything you need and more. The beds were very comfy and the addition of controllable AC close to your bed was a bonus. The hotel also comes with some shops. I’m sure I’ve missed some other positives as I don’t think the hotel is all that bad. The issues are very much something that can be improved in the short term. Overall I’d recommend the hotel if you’ve got a good deal through a holiday company. It is definitely an objectively lower standard 5 star hotel. However, there are some very nice features and is overall an above average experience.

Hotel was good but the food does warrant the 5 Star rating. Where the breakfast and lunch was good, the evening meal choice was somewhat disappointing and mostly lukewarm at best. Also lacking in choice of bars (only 1) at night. On the plus side staff were great and very hard working and the room and pool was very nice. Back to Turkey next year.
