“Excellent”

This was a beautiful Hotel right opposite the beach. Very clean, attentive staff, good food, lovely poolside areas. Rooms were spotlessly cleaned each day. Situated in a great position with lots restaurants in close proximity. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

We had room 1363, fantastic balcony with full sea view Beds were so comfy and huge which is perfect for me 3 tvs in our suite with real English channels , now I know we don’t go on holiday for tv but sometimes you want to just kick back and watch your favourite tv show or a film most hotels only offer bbcnews but we had all the top U.K. channels. Toiletries were high standard, coffee machine excellent Breakfast was superb, great selection and plenty of it , lunch was also a very high standard Prices were very reasonable for a good hotel too A big shout must go to the brilliant housekeeping staff who looked after us without fail. Thank you Only negative are the elevators , way too small for the size of the hotel so can be long a wait sometimes Thank you for a lovely break

“Beautiful views, fabulous location”

Really loved this hotel. The rooftop area is just stunning. Amazing views, and the food and drink was delicious and excellent value. Our room was lovely but soundproofing not great, we could hear a baby crying most of the first night, not the parents or hotel’s fault of course but it really did ... more

Really loved this hotel. The rooftop area is just stunning. Amazing views, and the food and drink was delicious and excellent value. Our room was lovely but soundproofing not great, we could hear a baby crying most of the first night, not the parents or hotel’s fault of course but it really did sound close! The breakfast - fabulous, so much choice and the cava was flowing, felt very luxurious! We will definitely return

“Comfortable rooms, but very disappointing food.”

The hotel accommodation was good, but the food was very disappointing. The breakfast and dinner buffets were dull and uninviting, with similar dishes offered every day. The hotel accommodation was good, but the food was very disappointing. The breakfast and dinner buffets were dull and uninviting, with similar dishes offered every day. Food lacked flavour and was over-cooked. Asparagus, which should be a real treat, was mushy, cold and tasteless. I selected something labelled 'spinach cannelloni' but after swallowing a mouthful of it I realised it was in fact meat cannelloni: being a vegetarian I was upset about this. Restaurant staff seemed stressed and unwelcoming, particularly those who insisted on showing us to tables we did not want to sit at. We stayed at the Melia two years ago and the food was better then. If we stay there again we shall not want to eat there. The hotel's styling is very stark, with little colour. The area around the swimming pool lacks trees and plants and, being at the front of the hotel by the road, is unappealing to relax in. Our bedroom was comfortable and there was a view of the sea. If the food had been satisfactory, the Melia would be very good value.
