“Just what we needed for a short break.”

The hotel was very good, clean and well set out. Food was plentiful and varied, rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would certainly go back to this hotel.

We really enjoyed our 10 day holiday in this wonderful Location. Beautiful Beach. Hotel luxurious. Entertainment staff especially Elena and Yaros were great. Dance classes and Wine tasting very enjoyable. I know it is not the Hotel’s fault but Bus Service to Ayamonte was only every two hours and then not enough seats so we ended up having to get Taxis . Only fault with the room was no drawers to put our clothes in however they did supply us with extra hangers on request. Many thanks to all the Staff.

“Good value but need a tweak or two”

Lovely hotel with many good points. Right on the beach and superb bar and lounge. Lovely quiet adult pool as well as a family pool. Flamenco show was brilliant. Room very adequate. Lovely hotel with many good points. Right on the beach and superb bar and lounge. Lovely quiet adult pool as well as a family pool. Flamenco show was brilliant. Room very adequate. Transfer time was good. Very good value for money. Staff all very helpful and professional. Negatives - food a bit hit and miss. Sometimes cold. Big selection but not 4 star. Room lacks drawers so nowhere to put clothes other than hanging. Didn't understand the Level thing and no explanation on arrival. Building works were ongoing. Not all facilities open??? The resort was very quite. Some bars and shops not open. Nothing much to do at night. Also mosquitoes do bite so take protection. 5th May for a week.

Positives: Hotel, Beach, Location, * Beds, "some of the staff" & Food was Excellent to decent. Elena from the animation team was a star - she instructed us at events and also with information, she was always happy to help and chat & went above and beyond to help us. * It is worth downloading the App when you arrive it allows you to see what's on in terms of entertainment & activities daily. otherwise if you are English speaking there is no information. *It was worth upgrading to the "Level" for the bigger room with more storage & the level perks. However - the week we were there they kept changing things so it was a bit confusing ? Also one day "the Level Breakfast" included some service of hot drinks , next day - it was back to Self service with a queue , one machine only! for hot water & coffee. Limited selection compared with the regular lounge for breakfast we tried both. It would have been quicker for us to go upstairs and get coffee if its the "Saturday" service from the regular breakfast area. One day we had umbrella's at the pool, the next day they removed them all? - Negatives: Building work going on, to the level area. They set up a big bar that I'm not sure who it was for because nobody got any drinks from it? -Reception staff are very hit and miss, ( I waited in a queue at reception and they just walk away when you try to get their attention & I heard other accounts of unhelpfulness - maybe again its fine if you can speak Spanish? * I would recommend you lock you medication away, in the safe. I had a box of paracetamol taken from my room on either the Wed/Thurs - It may be a small thing as they only cost 30p in uk But in Spain in Isla Canela - you cannot buy pain killers at the Supermarkets and I had to spend the last few days in Spain in pain. There was a few shops that look like pharmacies but one didn't have paracetamol and the other is not open over the weekend. *There is a local bus into Ayamonte & it is worth going for shops/atmosphere & restaurants & you can get the ferry to Portugal for the day £2.50 pp per journey. 2024 *The only issue with the bus is - no standing on the bus, so as the last stop before the return you sometimes get told no entry.- or it doesn't turn up at all (every 2 hours.) *It is around 17 euros for a taxi to town - so you could cab share? or you could walk along jump the Melia bus stop and get on at the hotel bus stop before Melia ?
