I came with my family on holidays, the hotel is just amazing, we have a wonderful view from our room, we wake up next to the beach, the personal is amazing especially Nada the lady of Customer service, we enjoyed the Spanish food, and alsoo Italian and Asian food because they have 3 thematic restaurants. A good hotel all around, we had a couple of issues in the room which were sorted within minutes, food was good, pool excellent for kids with big and small slides, hotel right on the beach, maybe a minus that the beach is too rocky so if you are looking for a sandy beach you will have to travel. We had an issue with payment, everything was paid beforehand but we were told one room is not, it was a rude girl at the reception I can't remember her name but everything was sorted eventually. Rooms are quite big but I would say the hotel is more of a 3 star than 4 as the rooms are very basic. Maybe a suggestion to open the restaurant for breakfast earlier than 8 as there are big cues and cleaning the pool area as well before 8 not at the same time that people are enjoying it

I stayed here as a family of 3 adults 1 child during May half term. Overall the pools were fun for my child but I was disappointed for the price we paid. I will elaborate if you wish to read a long review... Check in - we arrived at 9.30 pm and Alba on reception was very friendly and helpful and sent us for dinner before checking us in as they finish serving at 10pm. Luis (who was great all week) helped us find the correct restaurant as there are 3 near the lobby. His English is limited but always very friendly and helpful. Things then went downhill as the lady at the restaurant insisted on a room number or wristband but we hasn't checked in yet, we persuaded her eventually but she struggled to understand why I hadn't checked in yet. Room- was a good size, clean and had the sea view we paid for. The Balcony chairs were a bit flimsy and the balcony wall was a bit dirty. Again things went downhill in term of the door lock. The handle had been loose and difficult to get the door to open from arrival but twice during the holiday we were locked out of the room due to the door lock being faulty - this was for hours at a time. Initially the lady on reception was very curt and suggested it was my fault for storing the key near my phone and didn't apologise - gave us 2 new keys which didn't work either (like I said this was an issue with the door not the key). Someone was sent to fix it which took over an hour. The next day we got locked out after breakfast and I hadn't taken my bag so had to money or sunscreen. By 11.30 it was still broken so I politely but firmly asked for them to hurry up as the whole family was stuck in the bar inside as we didn't want to get sunburnt. About 15 mins later a maintenance man was sent to the room luckily we found him as he was able to check our keys worked before leaving, he was very friendly and helpful. Pools- This is where to hotel should excel but again it was let down by some issues. The lagoon pool near the new swim up rooms was shut on and off throughout the holiday, not sure why we were thrown out by a lifeguard one day and on another day it was full of palm tree offcuts as they were chopping them back by the pool (not sure why this wasn't done before the opened for the season or before the pool was filled up after shutting it?) There was some confusion by Jet2 who insisted this pool was fully open- but it wasn't. The main adult pool is OK but can get busy as the other pool was shut. The children's pool with the fire engine seemed great but the water didn't turn on till 11am (my child really wanted to go in right after breakfast at 9.30/10am). It was poorly maintained on close inspection, quite rusty in places and some broken bits (again I would expect this to be fixed out of season). The slide pool was good for older children but most of the nearby sunbeds the elastic or height adjustment is broken so not very comfy. Lifeguard provision was hit and miss - there are 2 lifeguards which patrol all pools but seem to spend alot of time setting up Balinese beds. There was no dedicated lifeguard for any pool which I felt was disappointing, in other hotels I've been to who had a lifeguard allocated to the childs slide pool and adult pool. In comparison I noticed the hotel next door had 2 lifeguards at the top of the slides ensuring safety. The floor around the pool has been decked and all pools have quite a large step into them, which I found a bit difficult due to a spinal issue. The pools didn't seem to have a filter and got dirty at the end of the day, they were then pumped and cleaned each morning. Food/ Drink- The main buffet restaurant food was acceptable, it's not the best/ not the worst. Some food a bit bland for my taste but we always found there was something we could eat. The system with needing to take drink orders was difficult causing large queues at busy times as only 1 or 2 people on duty- also there is no menu so you have no idea what is included in AI. For example I ordered Cava and was told I would have to pay. The wristband scanning didn't always work and the lady on the desk was often rough with my arm getting it to line up. Half the bars don't have a scanner so you have to tell them our room number every time you order, I struggled the first evening due to being tired remembering my room number. We used the 2nd Zekker restaurant due to a large queue at lunch and my drink never arrived. We went to the Al a carte Japanese restaurant Takamaka one night and the service and food was excellent. The drinks at all the bars were OK, spirit measures were generous - you get local spirits unless you pay extra. Cocktails were limited (3 or 4 but again no menu so you have to just ask what they have) the Tequila sunrise was bizarre it tasted nothing like tequila or orange, the San Francesco and Pina colada was good. Bar staff understand basic English but really struggled with my attempt at ordering in Spanish - I did try though! The snack bar selection was very small, bread, burger, sausage and salad at 11-2 and pastries 4-6. Check Out- our flight wasn't until 7pm so we asked 2-3 times for late check out. The evening before I was told to come back in the morning. Next day I was told someone has been allocated to our room but to try in an hour for a different room due to manager not arriving yet. I was then told all rooms were full and we couldn't have late check out, they didn't seem to check on the computer and I find it unlikely there were at full capacity last week of May. There is no luggage room so all bags have to be left in the lobby unattended which I found unusual. Considering they advertise as a "water park" I was disappointed there are no changing rooms for people using these faculties after check out. Overall I'd recommend this hotel if you find it at a really good price as the pools are fun for children but don't expect a luxury holiday.

We are currently staying here and today have come down to the pool area today to find the main feature of the small pool a fire truck water slide shut due to routine maintenance! We have complained to the senior management of the hotel who have claimed to know nothing about the planning of this work! Also on a health and safety point of view the slide has not been shut off from use which is resulting in small children still attempting to use it.
