After finally tiring of the all inclusive hustle and bustle dining experience we decided that we wanted the exact opposite. We were definitely not left disappointed, the dining was an absolute romantic delight. The food was incredible if you like top quality local cuisine, not for the burger and chips brigade. We stayed for two weeks and didn't eat anywhere else. The view from our rooms were fantastic, after four days ww decided to see if we could upgrade to one of the suites. One came available for the next day and we took it. The spa was a welcome treat however we would have liked the pool to be a little warmer. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a fantastic mountain setting this place can not be beaten, the staff were all incredible, made you feel like family tbh. The cycle garage was well appointed with tools etc and very convenient , a point of note however the terrain is the most challenging on the Island more so than Sa Calobra etc. Definitely my favourite and the traffic is light. We most definitely will be back as it's head and shoulders above all the hotels that we have stopped in Mallorca.

Where to start with this fantastic hotel. We had the Dreaming Sea room which had absolutely phenomenal unrestricted views down to the sea, it's slightly more expensive than the garden view rooms but it's definitely worth it. The room was spacious and the bed was huge (bit too soft for me but that's personal preference) good sized balcony with 2 chairs and a small table, ideal to just sit and enjoy the silence (aside of the birds and the church bell Estellencs is pin drop silent a lot of the time) Breakfast was OK, standard buffet fare but nothing special, would have benefited from a little more choice (lots of fresh loaves of bread but no baguettes, yogurt but no dried fruit or fruit compote to go with it - though there is fresh fruit) Pool/ outdoor area is lovely, several different outdoor sections to sit or lay in, the pool itself is small but ideal for the size of hotel, was never more than 2 or 3 people in it, there is also a pool bar that does drinks and snacks. Had the evening meal in the hotel twice and it was spectacular, Rabbit cannelloni was packed with flavour, octopus and mussels were as good as you'll ever get and the Lamb Tagine was divine. Both myself and partner had a spa treatment (Luna ritual) which was first class, both came out so relaxed we could barely speak. There is an indoor pool which looked lovely as well as sauna and steam room but we didn't get chance to try them. All the staff were examples of what good customer service looks like, always polite and friendly and will go the extra mile (particular thanks to the receptionist who checked us in very late at night despite having finished, locked up and was crossing the road to go home when our taxi pulled up) The hotel kindly arranged a taxi to pick us up and take back to the airport, which took a lot of the stress out of it as the village is not the easiest to get to without a car. A few (very minor) negatives No tea/ coffee making facilities in the room - even the more basic hotels in the UK have a kettle and cups in the room and I would have expected it here given the standard of the hotel (it would have been lovely to sit on the balcony with a cup of tea in the morning) Sangria - there are roughly 5 places to eat and drink in Estellencs, Maristel probably has the nicest food based on what we tasted however, the other bars/ restaurants all serve homemade Sangria of varying qualities and strength (all around 15 euros for a litre) whereas Maristel use prebottled Sangria which is not particularly nice (also, by far the weakest, I bought a predone Don Simon one for 3euros which was much nicer and stronger from a shop in the next village) Fridge - there is a good sized fridge in the room however there is a note on the room door stating guests are not permitted to use the minibar/ fridge for their own items and staff are authorised to remove anything in there. Seems a bit strange to provide something that guests can't use. These are very very minor issues that did not spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. In terms of the area itself, there is a pebble beach about half an hour walk away which can be done as a circular walk but the way back is up a very steep hill, the water is crystal clear but, as it is stone under foot, would recommend swim shoes. There is a small shop in the village but it carries a very limited stock (there is a slightly larger shop in Banyalbufar about 10 minute bus ride or a supermarket in Esporles 30 minutes bus ride away) If you are looking for a complete switch off then we cannot recommend this hotel and the area highly enough, it is fantastic.

“Peaceful and beautiful stay”

This is the second time we have stayed at Maristel Hotel and both trips have been excellent. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel is so peaceful. The views from the pool are great, there was lots of space and plenty of shade if you need it. We were in a junior garden suite which was very spacious with 2 balconies overlooking a quiet garden area. Very comfy beds and dark curtains. Breakfast is fantastic and has a big selection for different dietary requirements (oat milk, soy milk, alpro yoghurt, gluten-free bread) and the terrace to sit out on is beautiful - our breakfasts lasted about an hour and a half because it was such a nice place to be. The evening food was good with lots of local ingredients and lovely fresh fish. There were no vegetarian main options but lots of starters that could be eaten together. There are other restaurants in the village so you're not stuck for food. I really recommend a staying here if you are looking for quiet break. We adore it and will absolutely be coming back for a third time next year!

My husband and I stayed here for a week at the Maristel hotel.it was situated in a very quiet village .it is ideal fora quiet getaway for a few days rather than a full week unless you are into cycling / hiking and also the use of a car to explore the coastline of which we decided to do and found very enjoyable .there is no beach but the hotel provided a swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds on an elevated level .this wouldn’t be advisable for people with mobility issues.The pool is clean and very quiet with a sea view and some excellent sunsets . The rooms were adequate however the pillows were flat and soft. There is an option to book spa facilities which we did and used a few times during our stay.i would recommend the spa area which is indoors . We would like to make reference to the excellent standard of food provided in the restaurant .great choice of menu and the portions were more than adequate . Finally the staff from room servicing , reception and restaurant staff were very pleasant and attentive to detail .all in all we had a very relaxed holiday
