The main advantage of this hotel is the proximity to the airport. Getting to the central part of Madrid or the convention center is relatively easy with constant taxis outside, but traffic can make the trip difficult. My group took advantage of the great conference space, multiple rooms with size flexibility. The hotel room was appropriate at this price point. Due to its remote location, we (along with many others) ate the hotel for several days instead of a 30-45 Euro taxi each way. In general, I found the food mediocre at the lobby restaurant, buffet, and at our privately catered function. In addition, the staff was quite slow at taking orders or bringing the check after requests. If the focus of the trip is work, or for a quick layover, this hotel meets the needs.

Unless you have to stay here, don’t stay here. I stayed here to use a free Marriott night at the end of a trip to Madrid. And the price (nothing) was appealing. I mean, it’s fine. My room was clean. It wasn’t noisy. Room service was prompt, though what they brought me was mediocre. My principal complaint concerns the free airport shuttle, which might have been a plus. However, when I asked about the shuttle, the attitude was “meh, don’t expect much and don’t expect me to help you with this.” I was told that it comes at fixed times, the next one is at 8:30 and it’s on a “first come, first served basis.” Okay. Where do I wait? (Noncommittal gesturing to a group sitting on a bench.) No, really. Where should I get in line? Welp, says the desk clerk, “If you want you can go ask outside.” Ask who? There was no one outside who seemed to be “official.” Just a bunch of people smoking and a group maybe waiting for the shuttle. (They didn’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish.) At this point, fearing a Survivor-style melee, I opted to take a cab. The cab was a bit more than 24€ so not much of a bargain compared to taking a cab from the city.
