Wow! We surely got lucky on this hotel find. We stayed here for 4 nights/5 days - party of 3. We had 3 separate single beds in one room. The room and bathroom size was bigger than most hotels we stayed in Japan. Super duper clean, temp controlled room - it's winter when we went so our room was nice and toasty when we get in but can be adjusted at night to be on the cooler side for sleeping comfortably. They provided us daily towels, yukatas, slippers and amenities (lotion, toothbrush, etc). There's ice and water machine in our floor, which was just across our room. We booked with daily breakfast and that was truly a great deal. Breakfast can also be swap for lunch (on weekdays) if you are unable to wake up early - another plus for us! Their breakfast buffet had lots of variety but mostly Japanese dishes which we love. They have continental breakfast like fresh bread; they have green salad and freshly squeeze juices as well. We had lunch one day when we woke up late and they also have unique varieties in their menu to choose from. We are a foodie family so we really enjoyed their restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Everything taste good. Glad we added it. It's convenient esp. for us who is not always in a hurry to be out and about. Staff are friendly and accommodating esp. the housekeeping. Front desk didn't speak much English but we were able to communicate our needs just fine. Just wanted to mention that they didn't have onsen here which was ok for us, although we wished they had. hehe. The location of this hotel is BIG plus. Lots of restaurants and minimarts within walking distance. There's also a shops and mall around. The Osaka castle is also about 20-30 mins walk from the hotel (leisure walk). Train stations are just 2 mins walk! Loved, loved the location of this hotel! We really couldn't be more please in finding this hotel to stay on our last leg of our Japan trip. This hotel not only exceeded our expectation, it's actually one of our best stays in all of our vacation. It may not be a fancy 5 star hotel nor a top tier hotel chain but it served its purpose for us perfectly (price, cleanliness, comfort, convenience and location) - it made our vacation memorable. It was a very relaxing, stress free, fun stay for us. Thank you, Hotel The Lutheran. We plan to visit Osaka again and will definitely stay here if they have the availability for us. Kudos to all your staff.

We stayed here for 6 nights and used it as a base for travel to Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara and of course Osaka. Located very close to Osaka castle and a few short steps to rail subway station - Tanimachi Yonchome. The hotel is right next door to the Osaka Police headquarters. All around this location are convenience stores (7Eleven, Lawson, FamilyMart), fast food (Sukiya, Burger King, Mc Donalds) and multiple Izakaya and supermarkets. We had two triple (3 X single bed) rooms with a larger than normal Japanese bathroom. The beds and pillows were the most comfortable experienced in Japan. The room even had a balcony, which we utilised to dry our laundry. The hotel coin laundry was very basic and the tumble dryers need replacing as they don't work - even after 6 cycles at ￥100 each, the clothes were still damp. We tried the breakfast but was disappointed. Instead there are plenty of cafes catering to all the government office workers nearby. The staff are friendly but automaton like.

“Hotel Lutheran Osaka”

Clean and professional. Staff were very helpful. I had to extend my room checkout to a late checkoutas my husband fell ill. Despite being booked out they managed to give us our room till we could leave for the airport. My husband rested and this was very appreciated.
