“Great stay - big hotel”

I was undecided which of the big resort hotels in Meloneras to choose, but was ultimately very happy with our choice. The hotel is huge - 1,000+ rooms - but just about has the space and facilities to manage that number of guests. The approach to the hotel is very impressive, as is the lobby and main plaza, which hosts entertainment every evening. Rooms are excellent. Very comfortable, big beds (6'6" / 200cm wide). Plenty of storage space (which many modern hotels lack). Well-equipped bathroom with a great walk-in shower. Nice wood furnishings. We had a ground-floor room with a lousy view, so that's a bit of chance what view you get. Pools and gardens are excellent. We used 3 of the pools - the biggest 'lago' which is c.100m long, the lazy river pool, and one other. I'm not sure if they're heated or not, but temperature was actually perfect (and certainly warmer than an unheated pool we had in Tenerife at the same time of year). Breakfast buffet had a decent selection, but not to the same standard as e.g. Middle East hotels. The egg station was poor compared to other hotels. To pick up on some points made in other reviews: - Buffet - Breakfast does get busy after 9am, but it wasn't the scrum I was expecting. - Evening entertainment - Decent variety and quality. It is loud until around 11pm, and if I were in one of the rooms looking over the plaza I would be annoyed by the noise. From our terrace we could hear the music, but not from inside with the door shut. - Loungers - Do get taken early in the day, certainly in the prime locations, but unused beds sometimes have the towels removed. A couple of tips: - Groceries - There's a small store in the hotel, and others within a couple of minutes walk which are quite a bit cheaper. - Parking - The hotel charges €16 per calendar day (didn't know before arrival). There is plenty of street parking outside, but you might end up 5-10 mins walk away to find a space.

“The perfect hotel”

Lopesan Casta Meloneras Resort is the perfect relaxation and sports hotel. The location is excellent. Dario did free activities with us and it was great. Alba‘s aquagym is good for older people but also exciting for younger people. I can only recommend the hotel.

The hotel is stunning without a doubt But unfortunately with 1300 rooms I was left at a total loss when I arrived at 9pm and given a leaflet with quickly drawn squiggle and told your room is here it took me half an hour to find the room I have read on here that this has happened before My luggage followed me one minute later why didn’t he bring me to the room it’s a 5 star hotel Nothing was explained to me whatsoever I booked unique but literally wasn’t told anything about this tariff The unique pool again is beautiful but it’s run all day by one man one man he’s never behind the bar ever because he runs around like a maniac all day it took me 5 attempts to pay him it definitely needs 2 people the poor man was shattered and no can order a drink at the bar because he’s not there I wasn’t told about the unique lounge either I might have just arrived at the wrong time 9pm and as a solo traveller but to be honest he was more interested in getting me to pay for the room than helping me find my room
