This is a reasonably priced hotel in a walkable area. I was on a tour with a shared room but was not feeling well and wanted my own room so booked an additional room online. The room I was given was small with dirty walls and carpeting. Not nearly as nice as my tour friends’ rooms. When we got back from dinner a grunge band was playing in a bar below and it sounded like they were IN my room. I finally had to go to the desk at 1:30 am to complain. The staff were great. They found me a new room and helped me move over right away. Like most hotels they have different grades of rooms. My advice is to pay a little extra and don’t go with the cheapest room. Also make sure to ask for a quiet room away from the bar which apparently goes to 4 am on weekends. Had to move again next day but they upgraded me at no cost. Feeling grateful for their kindness. ❤️

“Visitor's Policy”

A good Hotel, though a bit old, at a reasonable price. Good location, Good service. Nevertheless a nonsensical Visitor's policy. Indeed Visitors are not allowed from 22:00 to 06:00 AM This is an infringement on Customers private life. Maybe a remnant of the communist system.

The hotel was booked through a tour company and I would say that the room was large, clean and functional. We were pleased to have the option of just having a sheet with optional cover as the weather was ultra hot. Aircon kept the room cool. We had two windows on our corner room and kept the curtains closed for coolness. The bathroom was modern and very clean, but toilet had little legroom as it was in front of a wall. The cleaner was helpful when we arrived and had trouble with the key. Two things not so good: the flight arrived late morning and reception told us that we would have to wait in the lobby 1.5 hours for room to be ready (actually ready about 20 minutes earlier than that, and they called us across to tell us). I know that there’s a cleaning routine but best hotels make sure that early guests have quicker access (as did our hotel in Siem Reap). The second thing was that the reception desk had a list of rules including that you had a safe in your room but no recourse to hotel unless used their reception safe. I brought passport and money to be added to their safe and they were surprised and had to read the notice. Then there was a process of sealing our possessions in an envelope and signing it, with reverse procedure to have them back. So in the end just used the safe in the room, which, for security, I would have preferred to be screwed to the shelf, as it was certainly portable.
