“Awesome location, no instructions on how to call front desk, very clean”

The hotel is centrally located. Walking distance to awesome eateries, bars, shopping areas, attractions, even an awesome grocery store! There is some construction going on inside and outside but it didn’t bother us! There were no instructions on how to call the front desk anywhere! On the last night, we were told it’s on the key card! They could have easily stuck it on the phone itself! Anyway what those figures mean on the key card was not obvious to me!! They have black and gold pods - the gold seems like coffee not sure what black is or if they even serve tea. Again no instructions! It’s a mystery!! The hotel is so clean - loved it! I would not pay for the breakfast though. With such amazing choices when you step out, why eat the hotel breakfast? It’s a huge spread but got repetitive for me even though they changed the pastries, meats etc… You can borrow an umbrella with a 10 euro deposit and charge adapters (from US to Spain plug points) with a 5 Euro deposit per adapter. They rerun the deposit when you return the stuff. They have soap, shampoo plus conditioner, bath gel, body lotion, shower cap, comb, 2 free bottles of water,4 biscoffs, sugar packets…. We had a room with 1.5 baths and a living room - very convenient! Lots of storage too! I would stay at Hotel Liabeny again, even though I am the sort of person who likes to try different highly rated hotels, just for the super clean bathrooms!!

“Enjoyable stay in Madrid.”

Great hospitality and concierge especially Vincent. Fabulous location, modern and comfortable with welcoming restaurant and coffee. More upgrades to break out area, but had no impact on our stay. The early departure picnic was ideal for a train journey.

I stayed one night on a business trip, at this historic hotel in the heart of the city. At the time of my visit the lobby area was under renovation, but the annoyance was minimal. The room I stayed in was renovated, in a rather conventional way, but it was airy and comfortable, with all the appropriate amenities. The coffee facility, which included a Nespresso machine, was very welcome indeed. A special mention needs to be made of the charming old-fashioned bar and café -contradicting the adjacent slick and modern looking lounge hall. The breakfast is served though in a not so charming hall, and it is quite standard, with no frills and thrills. The only drawback though was the excessive street noise at night (a Tuesday night, by the way). Thus, although I would be keen on returning, I would do so, probably, only for a bac side room.

This hotel was ideally located for sightseeing in Madrid. We could walk everywhere. There were several restaurants within walking distance also. The room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. My only concern was the condescending manner in which the staff treated me. I was really put off at this and personally insulted. This was not a one-time incident but reoccurring. While I do like the hotel, I will think twice when I return because of the staff.
