“Super experience”
Already well reviewed on this site, this hotel is superbly located high up in the old part of Matera, behind the cathedral (Duomo) in a former convent. We had to pay someone to ferry us in, as the SatNav was overwhelmed, but it was worth it. We paid €25 per night for our car to be valet parked and… more

“Beautiful hotel”
Located in the historic part of Matera the hotel is a very pretty old convent. You can walk the entire town from here, and at one of the higher points you have great views of Matera. “Away from the crowds, beautiful views”
Stayed here for 5 nights and Antonella and her staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. The hotel room was sparse...but had a beautiful view and I could hear the cowbells in the evening, a lovely sound. Beautiful terrace to enjoy breakfast. “Romantic setting”
Lovely old convent setting views across the gorge river. We had accommodation across a small courtyard.
