“Wow do yourself a favour”
Wow what a gem, we stayed in the lodge room 20 was fantastic. 2 windows with spectacular views. Surprise heated floor in bathroom which was great, good shower comfy bed. Cheap for what you get. Book the Castle dinner, share a meal with other travellers in the Castle. The gardens and house is beaut… more

“Step back in time”
New Zealand Photography Workshops. The castle sensational location, I have stayed here many times and it is our preferred location to stay in Dunedin. We stay in the stables and alway include dinner in the castle for our guests, its a real event and a highlight of a wild south tour.

“An Experience”
This is a funny one. Yes, absolutely do stay here but it's an odd mixture. We stayed in room 28 of the Lodge - a very comfortable 4 poster bed in a 1970's stopped in time room. But we had a great view and take Castlewood Road down to Dunedin if you like to take your life in your hands.... The staff… more

“Incredible views!”
Very comfortable accommodation with incredible views. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful (especially Barbara - give her a raise)! The only negative was the lack of a modern tv in the rooms for when you just want to chill for a bit. Invest in smart tv’s guys!
