The second honeymoon. Three years later, we decided to stay at Kempinski again to celebrate our third wedding anniversary, since we were here on our honeymoon. During the honeymoon we were on three islands and there was something to compare it with. Each island and the hotels are unique here. Kempinski has pleased us again. The reconstruction of the hotel was completed only a few months ago and this added comfort. Very romantic rooms, we lived with an ocean view. There is a long beach strip with perfect white sand nearby, you can sunbathe in privacy on a sun lounger or on the beach. There is a bar nearby, they will bring water with lemon for free, and cocktails. In the evening, live music in the bar next to the reception, three groups, all with amazing voices and of course great cocktails. Try “Seychelles (Smoked) Amaretto” in the bar and vitamin energy smoothies in the new fitness. We would like to thank the staff separately, as any hotel, like any business, is made by people. Sergey and Kirill professionally closed all our questions. They gave me a late check-out. Lady Babrha from the restaurant on the beach always greeted us as if we had come to visit her, cordially and with a smile. The lady Rita in the breakfast served tasty cookies and give us good energy for all day. We are happy, thanks to everyone who works day after day to make vacation unforgettable. We already want to return🤩

We had an amazing stay! Short story: we’d happily return. Clean, spacious rooms, lovely private feeling beach, beautiful reef, delicious food & drink, great staff, service & amenities (kids club, snorkel hire, gym/tennis, spa, local boat trips on site for snorkeling, scuba, fishing, & kayaks). The kids under 5 eating free was a huge relief! Long story: We had a special & amazing holiday. Our room (lagoon suite) was perfect for our family. The kids shared a converted sectional sofa made into 2 small single beds. 1.5 bathrooms. We had a separate bedroom with a 4 poster bed & private terrace. The room was huge and looked out over the lagoon. Loads of birds & wildlife to see. Housekeeping was great. Beds all comfy. The hotel is situated on what feels like a private beach, nestled in nature. It’s a chill vibe where you can relax while listening to waves on sun loungers under the canopy of trees. The spa experience was terrific, the treatment rooms have a great view of the ‘rain forest.’ The eco consciousness of the hotel is great. Evenings are chilled with good quality bands & sampling rum infusions. Clientele are mainly European, thankfully not a flashy place, just nice, chilled and understated. The house reef was hit by El Niño and so much of the shallow coral is dead but there’s still plenty to see. We saw many angel fish, butterfly fish, needle fish, puffer fish, Scorpion fish, squid, cuttlefish fish, rays, brightly colored wrasse, eels etc. The inner reef is very shallow which helped our young kids confidence in open water swimming. Amazing sheltered snorkeling spots are a short boat trip away. My partner did scuba with mantas & sharks, said it was like swimming in an aquarium. Best dive ever! Food is expensive (€80/adult dinner no drinks) but the buffet spread quality, variety & execution was exceptional. I’m still amazed by the international variety & quality of breads, dishes, & desserts. You could tell a lot of thought goes into the menu & tremendous effort is made by the kitchen staff to impress & accommodate different diets. Kitchen staff quickly provided off menu items for our pickiest little eater which was a relief. Kids loved the chocolate fountain! There is so much variety that repeated theme evenings had a different spread so you could happily stay for 2 weeks. Creole night was our fav. Windsong restaurant was good as well, impressive menu, great poke bowls, burgers, sushi & pizza. Again it’s pricey & we ran into daily issues w honoring the kids under 5 provision eating free which was slightly annoying & time consuming to rectify. That said, staff did make an effort & did a great job specially preparing the fish we caught on a fishing trip so that was a special beachside lunch. Thank you. Kids club & staff are amazing. Our 4-8 yo kids loved going here & there during the day. They ran there & signed themselves in after breakfast to do fun crafts. There’s a covered paddling pool to cool off. It’s a great space with ac for those little ones suffering the humidity or older ones who are bored of relaxing beachside. Staff do a great job of collecting kids & tempting them into the next activity. Best thing was that you can send the kids lunch there & actually enjoy a child free meal! Cons: Food & drink is very expensive. The resort is in an isolated spot with not so much around to walk to if that’s your thing (this was good for us tho!). Travel around the island is expensive (€100-150/round trip). Tips: If you’re traveling with kids, the hotel doesn't have full face kids snorkeling masks & the snorkeling offering for younger kids isn’t great (older kids 8 & up, & adults is fine). I recommend bringing your own for kids. We all had a few mosquito bites - citronella & lavender essential oils worked better than bug spray. We weren't eaten alive tho. Bring a rash guard if you’re planning to snorkel because it’s so good you’ll loose track of time! The sun is strong. Room for improvement: These were all very minor issues that didn’t really affect our enjoyment. Upon check in (before a room is ready) it would be helpful to be proactively given a WiFi code & asked how we’d like to be notified about the room instead of assuming we use WhatsApp. Also it would be great if we were signposted to all of the organized activities as we feel we missed this info at check in & a few opportunities to do cool things. It’s a super kid friendly set up which we loved. But the bathroom sinks & soap are too high up. Some steps would be useful in all bathrooms. Beach drinks service in front of the ocean view block was inconsistent. The attendants often packed up the beach a bit too early some afternoons (e.g., 4pm on a clear day). Water & towels were removed prematurely & it felt like we were being kicked out! It would be amazing to offer kids club dinner & a movie night (6-9pm) once a week (even if it’s extra) so parents can enjoy a special dinner or le petit chef. We felt the cost of babysitting (350sey/kid/hr) for our kids way too high as it would have been like €70/hr! Also I think the room photos online undersell the actual experience! The rooms are so much better than in photos. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

Resort overall is super lovely and perfect for a relaxing holiday family / solo or a couple. But I understand it is Seychelles rule but it's quite disturbing and violating guests privacy by constantly asking for room number when leaving and returning to the resort. Also not clear why visitors are not allowed and require extra €100/night payment. Room max capacity is 2 people, and night price is as per room not person. If a guest stays alone and have a friend visiting there should be no extra payment for this. Cleaning was also not the best, as they were not refueling amenities in the bathroom, minibar, tea, coffee and etc. And also I was there for my birthday and expected a nice small gesture from the hotel but there was nothing. It was quite sad, especially being their loyalty member. I'm sure they do something special for honeymoon and etc.
