Be prepared to be wowed by the lobby as you enter ITC Rajputana. This is a luxury hotel par excellence. We were greeted at the door by several doormen. The greeting was polite, happy and pleasing. Chiranji & Ramesh made a particularly fine impression. The hotel is modern and the decor pleasing as you enter. The rooms are good size. Ours was a long walk from the lobby over hallways where shoes made squeaky sounds. The bed linen was outstandingly comfortable. The bathroom was good size and had great water pressure. We ate in their restaurants and Pitambar, Gyan and Rakesh took good care of us. They serve free drinks & snacks during happy hour in their outdoor bar. And there is entertainment from street entertainers—a woman clad in traditional Rajasthani garb, dancing to songs sung by a male duo. Again the service was outstanding with Surendra, Krishen & Suraj taking good care of us. Their spa is outstanding: hygienic with all the resources you could possibly need. Andie gave a good Swedish massage. Their restaurant Peshawri is possibly one of the best I’ve eaten in. They serve food that takes its origin from Peshawar (erstwhile NW British India, now in Pakistan). We ate there twice and both times we had incredible service—once by Chandra & second time by Surender. I cannot fail to mention Dharmesh the bellboy who went above & beyond to help us. I would stay at ITC Rajputana in a heartbeat should I visit Jaipur again.

“Excellent stay and hotel car service”

We only stayed for two nights so didn’t really get to explore all that the hotel had to offer but, from what I experienced, I’d say it was generally a good hotel but it’s missing something. The hotel was clean and the staff were all very helpful and approachable, also the foyer was impressive. That said, the restrooms, whilst adequate, were basic in comparison. On a general note, it would appear that none of the ITC hotels we stayed at had electric hand drier in the restrooms which surprised me. We used two of the restaurants during our stay, the Jaipur Pavilion and the Jal Mahal. The first was absolutely fine but I felt the second was a bit more like a buffet style canteen. Irrespective, the food in both was perfectly ok. Obviously the hotel has a range of differing quality accommodation but we stayed in a standard room with was slightly dated and in need of a bit of TLC. The said, it was very clean, albeit quite a walk from the main body of the hotel. My real gripe was the shower. I have a real dislike for having to climb into a bath and pull shower curtains round. Apart from it being almost impossible to avoid the first blast of cold water, i find the process trying, especially having mobility issues and being senior in years. A point worth noting is, “happy hour”operates from 11am to 5pm unlike the other ITC hotels we stayed in (6pm to 8pm). Personally I feel that 11am - 5pm is of little value as most tourists are out and about during this time. That said, I can say that the on duty bar manager was very obliging when i expressed my displeasure at this and he extended the hours to 8pm for “use”. It was appreciated. Irrespective of some of the negative comments, I would revisit albeit I’d push for walk-in shower, if they gave any.

Stayed at the start of April 2024 Pros: +Good location with easy access for sightseeing. Rs100-150 seems to be the standard for a tuk tuk to the old market. +Staff are very friendly and helpful. Mandeep at the pool bar quickly remembered our order and was always friendly, professional and not in the least pushy. +Rooms were spacious and had excellent Aircon. +Speedy wifi +Nice pool with several seating areas and a helpful lifeguard who helped my mother-in-law move her bed around during the day. -Breakfast food is excellent and the pool bar food is also very (if a little slow). +Our rooms were made by housekeeping very promptly each morning. Reasons I have not given 5 stars: -Pesawri restaurant was tasty and staff were polite but the prices were absurd. -Service can be a little on the slow side. -This may be very specific to my visit but on checking in (we are quite tired at this point) the Royal Challengers cricket team (who had been staying in the hotel were just leaving). The lobby was a roped off walkway for them with people waiting to take photos and ask for autographs which meant we were told we couldn't go to our rooms until the cricket team had left. It was only after being quite insistent that we were allowed through the hotel. -This may not be the hotels fault admittedly but there were quite a few large groups around the hotel who were exceptionally loud into the evenings.
