Excellent hotel, the staff could not do enough for you, the food and drink options are very good and our room was quite big. The air conditioning worked very well (menopausal woman so always need this) The location is the best thing of all though, you are right next to the sea with great views of the surrounding areas and fabulous sunsets. It is about a five/ten minute walk to the old town, which is delightful! It is also only ten euros in a taxi to The Strip. We will definately be returning.

We have just come back from staying a week at villa del mar and we had a very good experience. The location of the hotel is great being just by the sea and a small walk into town but still remains quiet at night. The rooms was clean and the facilities was nice throughout the holiday to which stayed consistent. The best part of our holiday by far was the service at this hotel was very good. All staff was extremely helpful and easy to speak to and nothing was a problem. I have a severe nut allergy to which I have to be really cautious of what I can or can’t eat as this could literally hospitalise me. After explaining this to the staff here they made sure I was okay with the food and a member of the kitchen would tell me before each meal what I can and can’t have to which I think was such a nice touch. All meals was really good and the food is very nice, I would definitely recommend.

“Lovely hotel”

Hotel is lovely. Food was amazing, room and hotel areas were very clean. Had a massage at the spa and found this to be very reasonable. Special mention to Aida Ceron who worked in the restaurant and went above and beyond every time we were there. Would definitely return.

Service excellent, choice of food excellent, cleanliness excellent. However the design of the ladies toilets located by Reception was baffling, the cubicles are made out of glass, albeit opaque, you can see the outline and movement of the person occupying the cubicle next door, not very private at all. There is a nice outside seating area on the ground floor adjacent to restaurant, under cover, where you can drink/eat and watch the world go by on the promenade. However limited seating would make it difficult to get a seat in high season, and this also applies to the small restaurant area. Same goes for the rooftop ChillOut bar/lounge area which needs a dip pool at least, as it was boiling with little shade in October. The main pool was tiny and seemed an afterthought dumped at the rear of the hotel on the 1st floor, limited sun, and outlook of concrete walls all round. Pool bar was closed which meant a long walk downstairs to get a drink. Disappointed with that. We opted for a sea view room with jacuzzi , our anniversary treat, and we used it everyday watching the sea, /world go by - luxery addition which in hindsight doesnt do much for water conservation in Spain! The lifts take forever to arrive! The Hotel is located directly across from the beach, fabulous. Very clean beach. Beds/parasols were 6e each. In the Old Town, it's a 10min walk to the start of the main shops - loads of shops/cafes/bars/Tapas alley and a good 20min walk to the start of the Prom on the New Town which also has a fabulous stretch of very clean promenade and beach. The louder areas by Morgans Bar and Silver Dollar are a 2km walk. Would I stay there again? Prob not, not enough outdoor seating/sunbathing for us, but that would be my only reason, if you prefer the beach then it's perfect.
