“Our first visit to Barcelona to celebrate our Grandaughters 18th Birthday.”

We stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights from 5th to 7th October. My daughter stayed at the Seventy Barcelona so I had a comparison but I would still rate this Hotel as a 3/4 star and if it had a nice bar area definite 4 star. We stayed in room 501 on the top floor and everything in the room was spotless. The bathroom/shower was very clean and always plenty of hot water and high water pressure to the shower. The air conditioning was excellent and we watched BBC news on Channel 21 via the Samsung Television which was good. We didn't avail ourselves of the breakfast buffet but we looked in and it was very busy with an excellent choice of food. Most importantly the recepton staff were all extremely pleasent and helpful. On our second evening I went down to reception at 1.25am to ask for two extra pillows and George bought them up to our room with a smile. Finally, the Hotel is well located with a 16 minutes walk via "diagonal road to the centre and the Metro system and main shopping area. Well done everyone.

Excellent value for money. Clean hotel in good location in between Sagrada Familia and Ramblas. Excellent breakfast with continental and hot options. Excellent value for money. Clean hotel in good location in between Sagrada Familia and Ramblas. Excellent breakfast with continental and hot options. No tea and coffee facilities in rooms but free tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate available all day from downstairs. Also a water machine offering still and sparkling water. Lovely terrace on the 9th floor. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. Also bonus of a bath. Free WiFi. Excellent, helpful staff where nothing was too much trouble. My only downside was our room was right next to the lift which was noisy.

“Decent hotel, well located for most Gaudi sites”

Stayed for 3 nights. Don’t understand why this hotel is rated 2* when it’s as good, if not better, than some 3* European hotels we’ve stayed at in the past. The room was basic but functional and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and a wide selection which changed daily. Location was good, just a few steps from Garcia metro station and walkable to most Gaudi sites (unless you are an overweight American). Found some decent Tapas bars nearby.

A lovely budget hotel which gives you everything you need. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job each day to keep our room really clean. The shower was spacious and it was lovely to have a little balcony to get some fresh air. Noise is at a minimum and the air con works well. The choice at breakfast is amazing and open until 10.30 which was brilliant. We ate at different times each day and always managed to get a seat and nothing had run out, the staff were great at topping everything up. The 24 hour free coffee station was a great touch. They have a small selection of wines and beers to buy from a fridge too and there’s a cute little balcony anyone can use which had lovely views. It’s about a 20 minute walk from Passeig de Gracia station where you can get a 25 minute train to the airport. Fontana metro is a 5 minute walk away and Gracia itself is gorgeous - loads of nice bars, some handy nearby convenience stores (some 24hrs) and some amazing restaurants in the neighbourhood. The first day we actually walked into Barcelona city centre so we could walk past Casa Battlo and La Pedrera which was fab, took about 35-40 mins to walk in. It drops a star just because there was no window to open at night; as we had a balcony we couldn’t keep the door open as it kept blowing shut in the wind. There were no hooks to hang anything up in the room (just 4 coat hangers). There’s also no bar. There were just 2 plug sockets in the room (by the desk, not near the bed) - so take a substantial travel adapter with long leads for phone charging etc. Also don’t forget the city tax None of that is major though - just for info! A lovely stay as part of a reasonably priced flight, hotel + breakfast easyJet package deal.
