I stayed for a few days, helping a friend who was travelling solo with a small child. I had read some very negative reviews about the food so was prepared for the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. The food is mainly aimed with children in mind, but then it is a family resort so no surprises. Don't expect gourmet but the food was decent and varied and good enough. Restaurant staff were all very pleasant - special thanks to chef Maxi who catered for my exigences with aplomb. If you have young kids (under 10) then it's a great place to go. Speaking to parents, all the kids loved it and many were returning guests or were planning to return.

First time travelling as a family of 5 with a 15 month old, a 3 year old and a 7 year old. This is the complete opposite of every holiday I’ve ever booked… usually opting for adults only resorts 🤣 We were initially worried when reading some of the reviews and were thinking of changing, we wanted it to be special with it being our first family holiday. So glad we didn’t! The hotel is dated, plenty of cracks and scuffs but it is spotlessly clean, the rooms are a great size, huge bathrooms and the beds are very comfortable. The balcony was also a great size and could be accessed from both the bedroom and living area. The pool area is busy with music and activity all day, which was fantastic for our little ones. We all enjoyed the quiz in the morning, there are rounds aimed at different age ranges so we could all get involved. Bingo was a good watch even if you didn’t want to play. There were inflatable obstacles one day, paddle boarding another, raft building… so varied and accessible for children of all ages. The beach club across the road is a great little bit extra for this hotel. There are a few water slides and offers a change of scenery, but with 2 non swimmers we stayed by the toddler pool which is a great size and plenty of room for the parents to sit on the side. The bulk of the sunbeds can’t be accessed till the pool opens at 10am, which is brilliant because you don’t have to get up at 7am to go and reserve them! If you are an early riser there is a section you can reserve / sit on as early as you like. The food in the buffet restaurant was good. It’s not fine dining, but is exactly what I’d expect from a hotel catering for families. It is a bit repetitive. My husband is a very unadventurous eater 🤣 he was happy with the grilled meat and fish on offer every lunch & dinner time, with chips. I was pleased with the salad options, which were plentiful and varied. There was always pasta, chicken nuggets, burgers & pizza which is pretty much if they were given the choice, what my little ones want to eat. There is also lots of fresh fruit available, I can’t tell you how much watermelon my children have eaten… alongside icecream. The cakes are delicious, and 2 nights there was a huge chocolate fountain which was great. Breakfast I thought was better than the lunch / dinner options. The pastries are also very good! I really liked the self serve drinks at this hotel, wine, beer, sangria, tea, coffee and soft drinks all available for you to get yourself which definitely helps avoid queuing at the bar. The Italian restaurant is better than the burger restaurant in my opinion, but they were both good. Options included steak & carpaccio. Evening entertainment was definitely a highlight for us, we liked to listen to the singer after dinner which was split into 2 sets either side of a mini disco. The kids absolutely loved this. There is also the main outdoor event space which we visited 2 nights. The HV team really are incredible. You can see how much work and effort they put into their jobs. Yes, the hotel shop is expensive, we ran out of sun cream and had to pay 20 Euros for a bottle, but hotel shops are expensive. It depends what you are looking for from your holiday. I genuinely think I’ll struggle to book something that will cater for my children as well as the entertainment program and pools did at this hotel, and the compromise is that the hotel isn’t as polished as others, having been open for 20 years.

Got off the plane went through customs ok, found the tui rep who told us the coach which was a different number on the app. We filled in the check in to hotel on the way to the hotel and check in promptly. No key cards it’s on the wrist band which I liked. The hotel is massive plenty to do for kids, the water is good only 2 slides which you have to rent the single or double ring. There is not a lazy river there is a cave you walk through. There is a small wave pool and 3 other kids pools and 2 jacuzzi pools. People started queuing at 9.30 for the water park there is plenty of beds but if you want certain ones then you will have to queue. The snack shack is upstairs when you walk in to have food throughout the day. Breakfast is ok normal all inclusive breakfast. The dinner is shocking not even hot food no really food for kids. Chicken nuggets are out first thing but never put out again. Spaghetti is a favourite and a different curry each night. I was reading the comments about food and thought it can’t be that bad but it is. Pork ribs with no pork. Steak which went and didn’t come back out while we was there. There is a nice jacuzzi pool which you need to purchase a swim hat, sauna and Turkish bath also the gym is down stairs. They play games around the pool during the day. The hotel is in the middle Of the 2 towns. A taxi is about €15 There is football academy, swim academy, places for babies to play. Taxi are at island by the hotel Really nice hotel everyone is nice shame about the dinner food is a big let down.
