We returned from a seven day stay at the Timanfaya Palace on Thursday 11 April and we must agree that the hotel lives up to its high ratings. When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of Cava and although our rooms were not ready, we were given access to the all inclusive facilities immediately. Staff at reception were very friendly and explained everything about the facilities. The wristband room key saved carrying room cards around. We asked for and were given a room with a balcony and sea view on the 5th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and modern with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. The bathroom was huge with a modern walk-in rainforest shower. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and the hotel kindly left a bottle of Cava in an ice bucket and chocolates and a congratulations note in the room. A nice touch which was not expected. Thank you. We stayed all inclusive and always found enough choice and fresh food in the restaurant. We particularly liked the cooked to order fish and meats and the salads. The hotel had themed meal nights which added to the variety of foods on offer. For drinks we asked for a bottle of wine and were pleased to be given a bottle in an ice bucket at the table although wine was also served at your table by the glass. There is an outside pool bar/dining area which serves freshly cooked food during the day and serves drinks at your table in proper glasses. The pools are big with plenty of sunbeds available throughout the day. Not reserving sunbeds before 9:30am is enforced and stops the usual early morning madness. The area by the indoor pool is shaded from the wind so we spent time there when it got too windy by the pools near the sea front. There is also a drinks bar open to 4pm near this pool too. Although the hotel was full it didn’t feel it as the hotel grounds are huge which meant there was always space and room for a quiet space if you needed it. Entertainment in the disco lounge was varied from Elvis to opera, but very entertaining. The animation team put in a fair shift throughout the day but were not in your face. The piano bar is spacious and quieter. Very talented musicians played more relaxing music on a variety of instruments. Queuing at all the bars is discouraged with waiter service at your tables the preference. The waiters/waitresses were very attentive, friendly, and quick. Be careful as your glass will never be empty! During the day we went for a walk out of the back of the hotel along the board walk, turned right to the lighthouse passed quieter areas or left to Playa Blanca towards the bars, restaurants, and shops to the Rubicon. One day we took the 30-minute ferry from the port to Fuerteventura for £35 euro each return. Pay at the port not at the kiosks on the boardwalk it is cheaper. Staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and very helpful. The long trousers for men at the evening meal was not an issue, it actually make you feel as if you are dining out rather than grabbing a bite to eat. The alcohol provided for the all-inclusive holiday are all branded drinks, cocktails are freshly made and strong! We didn’t see the need to upgrade to Privilege as the room, food and drinks suited us fine. We have stayed in several hotels over the years, but this one had something else, it’s hard to put your finger on exactly what that something else was, but we would definitely return to the Timanfaya Palace, which is not something we often do.

This is honestly one of the best holidays I have ever had. The hotel is very welcoming, spacious and looked after, and I would strongly recommend it for a week long holiday, if you are looking for a warm, sunny experience near the sea for a week. The hotel itself is very spacious with lots of wonderful facilities and amenities, and the rooms are very well appointed and spacious as well. The bathrooms are large, and very pleasant too. We had a room overlooking the large, open pool area, with a lovely view of the ocean. They are plenty of sunbeds, and they did not seem to be any crowding or rush for these, as they seem to have worked out the numbers very well. There is a lovely poolside bar where you can get drinks, and very easy access to the lovely promenade in front of the hotel, that goes for a considerable distance in both directions. I would personally very strongly recommend this hotel for a sunny, relaxing holiday in the Canary Islands!

As with a lot of other guests we are repeat customers, 9 or 10 times? we have been here. This is without question, the hotel with the best staff, the best food and the most relaxed. The fresh fish cooked on the griddle was lovely, I felt like a penguin with the amount of fish I ate. Nobody should complain about the food in the buffet restaurant it was lovely. Bar staff and waiters were brilliant, (Pepe, Mohamed, Neomi, Ana Marie in particular). Rooms were clean, modern and spacious. We were all inclusive which suits us and drinks were top class. Entertainment was good and the animacion team lovely and welcoming. We will keep coming back to our jewel in the crown! The weather was also welcoming, it was lovely.

We have just returned from a fantastic two week stay at this lovely hotel….which we have visited many times over the past 25 years or so. We walked through the doors and immediately felt at home. Our room had a wonderful sea view and a south west facing balcony. It was spotlessly clean and had ample storage space. Hot water was plentiful and the shower was efficient. The food in the buffet style restaurant is of great quality, varied and there is always show cooking. The a la carte restaurant is well worth at least one visit during your stay. Staff across the hotel, at all levels, are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They go out of their way to ensure your holiday experience is a positive one. We booked our next holiday before we left….says it all, I think. Thank you to everyone at the TP….we look forward to our return in 2025!
