We just returned from a 10 day stay. Room for excellent spotlessly clean. Pool area lovely always able to get sunbed. Food in pool bar was lovely. Enjoyed a drink in main bar area every evening which was lovely all branded drinks which we thought was excellent. Main restaurant food lovely could be slightly more choice but that's probably me as a picky eater but this is not a bad negative as I always found something I liked. Some areas could do with freshening up but I know that there are improvements being made at the moment. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. Would we stay again no doubt 100%

“Lovely hotel”

Lovely hotel. We went as a 'younger' couple - 31 and 24 and have to admit the average age was probs 60 but didn't affect us. We went in March so was a bit windy but could always get a sun lounger. The room was by the pool and was amazing, can't fault it. All toiletries provided. Huge comfy bed... more

Lovely hotel. We went as a 'younger' couple - 31 and 24 and have to admit the average age was probs 60 but didn't affect us. We went in March so was a bit windy but could always get a sun lounger. The room was by the pool and was amazing, can't fault it. All toiletries provided. Huge comfy bed. Pool view and nice balcony. The main restaurant does get really busy, feel like they need a kind of reservation system. People do come/go quickly but some days were hunting around for a table but staff do help you where they can. The food was a good variety but I wouldn't say the themed nights particularly matched the themes. The entertainment was more aimed at the older generation but we loved the piano bar. It was so cool and nice to sit with unlimited alcohol and listen to music and play games. What I would say needs improving is the pool bar food - the wings were nice but the pizza depended what day you ordered it - some days was like a very thin semolina crust burnt on the bottom. The burger my husband said was disgusting, like a canteen/cafe flat patty so we didn't order that again. Chips were good and generous, feel like they needed more variety. The cocktails were great and generous, we had so many. Is a bit different to other all inclusives we've been to as they don't serve you at the sunbed but this was good to stop us being lazy and made us get up and go to the bar! Staff were really friendly and lovely. What i loved the most was being able to just walk out the gates and walk/run along the promenade ever day and watch the sunset with a takeaway cocktail (we took our own thermos flasks which they were happy to fill up). Such an amazing location and we walked to the Rubicon market one day and to the lighthouse other days. Would recommend this hotel but if you are a young couple looking for a lively party hotel then this isn't it, but was perfect for a chilled week! Felt very well rested afterwards.

“Relaxing 😄”

Another relaxing stay at the Timanfaya Palace (our 5th time). It all depends on what you want from your holiday, for us this has everything we want. Great location. Another relaxing stay at the Timanfaya Palace (our 5th time). It all depends on what you want from your holiday, for us this has everything we want. Great location. Straight out the back gate onto the 9km promenade with a two minute walk to Flamingo beach. Clean. The hotel is kept spotless by the diligent cleaning staff. Food and drink. Plenty of choices and premium brand drinks on all inclusive. Room. We have not had one of the refurbished rooms yet but the rooms we have had have always been perfectly adequate ( we don’t spend a great deal of time in the room other than to shower and sleep). Staff. Now this is where the hotel really shines from Jose as General Manager right the way through to bar staff, cleaners, waiters, Animation and maintenance teams, they all seem happy to make your holiday the best it can be. Special mention must go to Ahmed in the restaurant who once again looked after us impeccably. Chris and Angel in the pool bar. Hector on reception now having moved from the Animation team and of course Elisa, Jean Carlos and a special mention to Imara who when a guest became ill went above a beyond to look after her and her husband until the ambulance arrived. “Great location…hotel vibe not for us”

Check in: 12.30 room not ready, given a tag to put on our case, pointed in direction of luggage room to put cases and told to return at 3. Given a wrist band to buy drinks in mean time. We bought some lunch and drinks at pool bar that we came across while wondering around. Great location - lovely walk from outside the gates all the way to Rubicon Marina…lots of restaurants and bars along the way which came in handy for us as we changed evening meal to lunch then ate out most nights. Hotel clean and spacious, newly refurbished room (101) but not greatly located as was next to an entrance, it was dark, next to lift shafts, and a gathering of smokers on steps outside, didn’t sit on balcony for those reasons, asked to relocate and was told you wanted a refurbished room away from work and that’s what we got for booking standard room - upgrade if you want to change! Food: great breakfast, limited lunch choice and far too busy and not great evening choices in our opinion. Hence we ate out most nights, and cannot comment on shows or piano bar as only popped heads in both and neither were for us. Pool: great space, good beds, towels…Pool was freeeeezing, we used the warm pool once but felt frowned upon as we walked through the ‘Privilege area’. Pool bar: we met some lovely guests when outside during the great demos at 1pm….but after that it always felt uninviting once dinner service finished at 3, although open until 6 chairs were stacked, machines covered it almost felt it was a chore to ask for a drink - cocktails in plastic cups was a bit disappointing with no trimmings ( ie: same plastic cup for each cocktail, no straw no stirrer, no fruit ). Staff: appreciate they all work hard, some much more friendly than others, Peppe at lunch was delightful 🙂 Entertainment team were great we enjoyed the pool bar demos at 1, my husband enjoyed the gym classes at 11.🙂 We booked this hotel for its great reviews and I can understand why those who love it keep returning. For us it lacked atmosphere, and dining options quality didn’t suit us. We were in age bracket if 55-60, I’m hoping this review does not get us a telling off for providing our experience of our stay ( as seen in previous posts) it has been written with the intention of helping others in both hotel and those booking.
