Having stayed here last Yr we returned this Yr so let's start check in was fast room wasn't ready till 1.30 or so not a problem staff on reception were nice and friendly 😊 porter brilliant also we requested the same room as previous Yr and we were granted this thank you so much esmeralda such a lovely lady now room was same with free aircon mini fridge and safe excellent maid in everyday fresh towels and they changed beds twice in 2 weeks again np thank u 4th floor we were staying hb but sadly the food was a let down this Yr had to eat out 3times in the morning and 4 times in the evening now they put on some lovely food I just don't eat fish chicken on the bone veal or pork so choices were very limited for me staff in the dining area were brilliant Sandra your a star and tried to help on many occasions Ivan Christina and eduard all amazing also sorry if I insulated the chef Alessandro not my intention and think my apologies were lost in translation pool is decent size but ice cold at first small kids pool rooftop area is lovely but badly need some tlc n maybe a vending machine having to go up n down for cold drinks is a pain when your chilling now onto the spa area 3euro for your cap u fet to use steam roof spa indoor pool n jacuzzi just need to book in advance massage 36 euro had a back 1 was lovely think that about covers it will I return yes for whaf I paid still great value and will be returning may nxt Yr love the hotel staff are brilliant and friendly

First point to highlight is the location You could not ask for a better position for the time we were visiting Salou An hour’s minibus journey from Barcelona Airport Around 15mins stroll to Port Aventura Theme Park Around 15mins stroll to the Beach Around 10mins stroll to the main strip Perfect when you have young children with you The hotel itself is a good size, although it felt a little dated compared to others that we came across Reception is friendly and efficient - as is majority of the staff in the hotel We had one ‘clearly pissed off’ waiter who had no intention of wiping down a table before we sat down, after we pointed out a spillage to him Room cleaning staff are all great and worked hard all week The restaurant adequately coped with the full house of guests, including the sudden influx of OAPs that arrived during one breakfast session Breakfast spread is decent, with a good variety of both local and, I will call it ‘British’ choices The dinner buffet was probably best on the Saturday that we arrived, as they had a great selection of seafood on offer But overall, the value for money, as we were not half or full board guests - was extremely good The best part of both courses was the fresh fruit - amazing quality Amenities wise - pool is freezing cold, but very popular Get there early if you want a sunbed with a good spot The queuing to place towels down, at 9am, is something to behold - and I didn’t hear a single German accent either…mainly Irish and Northern Brits! There is a hot tub on the 6th floor as well as additional sun beds, if you want to avoid the crowds at the pool side And there is an indoor pool in the basement along with a spa and gym Rooms themselves were relatively clean and adequate space Enough if all you plan to do is sleep and shower Would we return here? Yeah

Positives: Nice pool area Reasonable priced drinks/pool food Good breakfast Location- walking distance to beach, close to portaventura, bars/restaurants etc Staff very friendly Negatives: Dated- looking very tired in places Rooftop jacuzzi- this could be made so lovely with a nice pool/bar but it’s so ugly looking. Rooms- 3 adults staying in a room but was only given 2 clean towels?? Floor wasn’t swept in 4 days Dusty No kettle or tea/coffee Fridge was dodgy 1 English tv channel (I know I’m on holiday but when you’ve had a shower after a day of sunbathing and want an hour to chill, there’s only bbc news to watch) Breakfast hall was packed, 1 day I couldn’t find a clean plate Having to go and carry your sun lounger from a big stack of them. I’m not the strongest of people but these should be out ready for the day. This hotel is not a 4*. It’s a shame because this hotel could be beautiful if a little bit of tlc was given and housekeeping improved.

“Fantastic location for everything”

Just back from this hotel after staying with my husband and granddaughter (age 7) for 5 nights. The negatives; housekeeping. Requested three beds and when we arrived we were missing a bed. But also cup, glass , towels for 3etc. This was rectified but disappointing after a long journey. No soap ... more

Just back from this hotel after staying with my husband and granddaughter (age 7) for 5 nights. The negatives; housekeeping. Requested three beds and when we arrived we were missing a bed. But also cup, glass , towels for 3etc. This was rectified but disappointing after a long journey. No soap in the toilets by the bar and we had to constantly asked for them to be topped up. The rooms were ‘cleaned’ daily. However sheets never changed and had to request clean towels. The bathrooms were always cleaned but the floors were not swept and again I had to speak to reception to request them being done. Getting more coffee was an issue and housekeeping being a bit difficult when we asked for them. Positives; kids club. Two hours in the morning and 1hour 45 minutes in the afternoon. Dani was fantastic with my slightly shy granddaughter and she looked forward to going when we were in the hotel. Anna was also very good and the mini disco was a massive hit! The food. I’d read mixed reviews but it was always topped up and fresh. Big fruit and salad selection changing daily. Fresh rolls and pastries, churros and pancakes daily. Omelette man was good and lots of other breakfast items available. At night there was always some meat grilled, fish and paella. At least 6 different mains with rice, pasta and chips. Kids had pasta, pizza, nuggets but also some roast chicken and vegetables available. Dessert was plentiful with ice cream, cakes, mouses and fruit. They arranged a cold breakfast at 05.30am before we left which was a nice touch. The free water fountain is a real bonus too, especially for filling up bottles. The pool; freezing!!!! But not allowing inflatables made it more family friendly as plenty of room and was cleaned daily. Yes the 09.00am scramble for sunbeds was annoying but the same in every hotel. Staff; friendly and helpful and always spoke. The bar gets super busy at night and can have a long wait. Evening entertainment; hit and miss depending on personal taste. The Tanzania acrobats were very entertaining. Location; perfect for the parks, 10 minutes walk. 10 minutes to town and bars etc. Overall I would stay again but housekeeping really needs improving.
