Fantastic hotel. Very spacious grounds & pool areas. Several bars. Different looking hotel. Nice Canarian style looking rooms which I prefer to the total white look that a lot of hotels have these days. Food was very nice & good quality although we have been to other hotels with more choice. Could do with more vegetables at evening meal. The hotel is on the edge of Meloneras so a quiet area but only a short walk along the promenade to Maspalomas. The layout of the hotel can be quite confusing when you first arrive & try to find your way around. Would definitely go back.

We have stayed in this lovely hotel several times over the last eight years and once again our recent stay was excellent starting with a smooth check in to a much appreciated late checkout on our last day. We booked the Privilege package which even though hotel prices have increased still offers great value for money given all that Privilege entails,daily entry to the Spa water circuit,exclusive lounge and sundeck with a shallow Infinity pool on floor four with direct access from rooms on floor four and a separate exclusive sun terrace at the main pool,these areas are looked after by the lovely Karima. The restaurants offer a la carte breakfast and dinner option's in the Gaudi Restaurant and a la carte lunch and dinner option's in La Brasserie Restaurant, you can have dinner in either restaurant, service and food in both restaurants was fabulous a big thanks to the lovely staff,Samira,Afric,Martha,Marjorie, Angela,Carolina,Susanna,Nadia and everyone else working in the restaurants. Entertainment in the evening was varied with something for everyone from Charlie on his saxophone in the Sunset Bar Stefano on piano in the Restaurants and Lobby Bar to rock bands and circus acts in the Tirajana bar,there's also great staff in the bars especially Alejandro(Top Man) who puts on his own show every night. We chose a Privilege Room on floor seven facing the golf course as these rooms have beautiful views and lots of sun on the balcony, some issues with no water in the taps and shower on a couple of days but water came back after about five minutes, rooms are cleaned to high standard with a turndown service and towel change in the evening. The main pool area is lovely and well maintained with no problem's getting sunbeds as is the area around the larger heated Infinity pool. Thanks again to everyone for another fantastic stay and we are looking forward to our next stay in July and enjoying this lovely hotel once again.

“A pleasant trip but not 5*”

As I couldn't give 3.5 I gave it a 3 which is slightly on the harsh side. Our experience doesn't warrant a 4 but a 3 is probably too low. We went HB for 10 days. As I couldn't give 3.5 I gave it a 3 which is slightly on the harsh side. Our experience doesn't warrant a 4 but a 3 is probably too low. We went HB for 10 days. The positives: The hotel grounds are expansive and there are heated pools for the kids to play in The buffet style breakfast and dinner were generally good with many different options. We were there for 10 days so it became slightly repetitive but over 10 days that's to be expected. Staff were almost always extremely helpful and friendly For us, the location was great. It's a short walk down to the beach where there are bars, restaurants and a supermarket. The dunes/lighthouse etc of Maspalomas are a 15 minute walk away too. The food at the Brasserie was good quality and well priced. The negatives: The hotel is tired and it looks like they're upgrading it section by section. There was a lot of noise from the refurbs of one block of accommodation and new restaurants being built. Our bathroom was so dated it had a hand held shower head that only stayed up if the water pressure was high enough, The shower gels were difficult to get to. All in all this isn't adequate at the premier inn let alone a '5*' restaurant. Whilst the pools were good fun, the lining of them was coming off the bottom/sides... almost everywhere. Whilst the kids club staff were outstanding, the facilities were very basic. I appreciate you can never guarantee late checkout availability but we were particularly disappointed with our experience as the front desk didn't seem to try/want to help. There were rooms available to move us to but they were unwilling to do so. With a 9pm flight, it would have been helpful. It was by no means a bad stay but when comparing it to our expectations of 5* standards, we left feeling as though the price/value was imbalanced and wouldn't go back unless the price point was reduced or the facilities were materially improved.
