“From the time when traveling was invented”

A real fine place to stay on the way to or back from Pic du Midi A hotel from the time when traveling was invented with the gadgets of today like WiFi and AC. Spotless clean and full of charm. Not to forget the restaurant! All at a very fair price.

We stayed for 2 nights while taking a walking holiday. The reception was different, the bell had to be physically picked up and shaken rather than 'rung'' but efficient once we found someone. We stayed for 2 nights while taking a walking holiday. The reception was different, the bell had to be physically picked up and shaken rather than 'rung'' but efficient once we found someone. Room was nice and spacious, well decorated. The bar was quite well stocked and service was acceptable. Location nice. The restaurant was a bit off. The menu seemed good, but was let down by runner beans from a tin (middle of fresh season) and a dessert made with tinned strawberries (again middle of fresh season). Breakfast was reasonable but the fried eggs were cold the first day as the burner had gone out, and the second day were greasy - no fresh bread, but a good buffet. The building itself is very nice and interesting in its history. Would like to give a rating of 3 and a half stars really.

A Hotel which is not too expensive if you book with discount. Without discount, way too expensive. The view is great, the restaurant not too expensive, good quality. However, not much to chose from, very small menu card. The rooms are ok. Quite small but ok. Very noisy though. You can hear everything in other rooms. I would qualify Breakfast with a C-minus. No variation at all, very standard. OK for 1 or 2 nights but not more. Employees are not really interested in the reason for staying with them and visiting the Pyreneees. No personal touch at all. Positive point is hygene. Room and bathroom are very clean. Clean towels every day. In short: score would be a 6 out of 10.
