“In general a good hotel to stay”

Good hotel. Good food but the same every day...need to change from day to day. Good room service - we got what we asked for quite quick. Reception not always reply to the Phone ... Evening entertainment is not as written and sometimes there is nothing.

Very good location would stay here again defiantly.

“Basic”

Just got back from 7 nights all inclusive. We were a group of 14, 10 golfers, 4 non-golfers, so we needed something to cover everything. Just got back from 7 nights all inclusive. We were a group of 14, 10 golfers, 4 non-golfers, so we needed something to cover everything. It wasn't quite what we expected, quite Basic and I wouldn't say it is a hotel for families. It's more for if you are happy to go out majority of time an use it as a base. The pool closes at 5pm, so those getting back from golf wanting to enjoy the pool outside were not able to, very disappointing. There is no poolside entertainment. Plenty of sun loungers. There is a rooftop pool which is inside. No evening entertainment within the all inclusive. There is the rooftop bar but you have to pay for drinks, it isn't included. It is stunning up there. Bar closes at 11 apart from Friday and Saturday where it remains open an extra hour, that hour is not included with all inclusive. Hotel itself is clean, rooms cleaned everyday. Food was OK, it was what you expect from an all inclusive, a bit of everything. Unfortunately 9 of our group ended up with sickness and diarrhoea!! When questioned the manager said there was a virus in the hotel, yet there was no communication of that. The only thing those 9 all had the same was the fruit and filtered water, so we dont know. Those of us who didn't have either were fine. Lifts are a nightmare, mainly around the busy periods. There are 4 of them and a lot of waiting involved. Drinks on the all inclusive aren't great, there is no cider and the Coke zero always seemed flat. I didn't have any spirits so can't comment on that. The lager is San Miguel, which I liked so for me that was OK. Most of the staff were friendly just one girl behind the bar that didn't appear very happy. Snack bar for all inclusive isn't the best. Very limited and cold. The location is really good. Right by the shops and bars. There are a lot of steps involved down to the beach but there is a lift by the hotel that you can use for 50c each way (it was a god send for coming back up). Beautiful bars along the front and the walk into benalmadina is lovely, then when you reach the harbour it really is amazing. There is a hairdryer and fridge in the room. There is also a safe you can hire, I believe that is 4 euros per day. No tea or coffee making facilities in room which didn't bother me but others would have liked it. Overall it served a purpose for this break but I wouldn't choose to stay again.
